I use to go to Murphy's but using their gas I got horrible gas mileage, so I go to The Store now and I get so much better gas mileage and it seems to run better....Only time I ever use Murphys anymore is when we get FREE Wal-Mart gift cards from workm then I will use it for gas.........

I was told by an mechanic in town that Casey's has awful gas - too much ethynol killing gas mileage and hurting fuel filter.

All MO gas stations has a percentage of ethynol in there gas already. I suggest if you are in Arkansas, fill up your tank. Arkansas has no ethynol in their gas yet. I am from Missouri and have learned this from working in Arkansas and listening to men talk over here. Just a matter of time they will find that the ethynol in the gas is affected gas mileage and the vehicle you are driving. Not all vehicles are made to use this type of gas.

Your mechanic was correct. I have a lawn service and was getting a very large sum of gas daily at casey and began to have one problem after another out of my mowers. Finally my mechanic asked where i got my gas. We checked the gas i had from casey and he said it had a lot of water in it. I noticed this problem at every gas station though so i started adding Lucas, a fuel treatment additive to my gas and me and my mechanic can tell a difference.

Why in Kennett is 87 octane and 89 octane the same price? But you go to any city, even as close as the interstate and there is a 7 to 10 cent difference?? I think whether it says 87 or 89 its mostly it has too much H20 in it!

The problem isn't with the Gas they get, it's in condensation from the storage tanks. All gas that is sold in Kennett comes from Delta Refinery in Memphis. The problem is that with the temperature changes and humidity, that the tanks get water in them, some places in town just take better precautions to prevent as much condensation as possible.

That being said, I have always gotten good gas from casey's, never gotten good gas from Murphy, I don't use Huck's because it can be a nightmare getting in and out when busy and have never gotten gas from the Store or Kennett Express.

If you will fill up first thing in the morning, you are supposed to get better gas. This is when all the trash has settled to the bottom and because temperatures are cooler in the morning, there is less condensation in the tanks. The worst time to get gas is when the trucks are filling the tanks. This is when all the trash that is in the gas is stirred up and pumped into your tanks.

God bless our country!

As of January 1, 2008, there is no difference between nolead and super nolead. If you will notice everywhere you go the prices of both are the same. The pump may say nolead, but it still has high ethanol content.
