Favorite memory is driving through town on one end circling Sonic and sometimes getting a Frito chili pie and then going to the other end of town and circling the A and W and heading back to Sonic.

Yes I remember the old Santa House too. Guess they don't do that anymore. I also remember spending Saturday mornings walking around the square and going to Myrtle's or the Palace Cafe for lunch when we were in jr. high.

Do you live in Winter Haven? I have family down there. I also remember at the stop lights we would change drivers when the light turned red! lol You would have 4 or 5 cars in a row doing this. I also liked the Tommies Drive Inn, throw a blanket on the hood, and hide a few buddies in the trunk, we always snuck someone in. lol

Palace theater and the Ritz theater. For a quarter you got a movie and a cartoon plus coming attractions AND a pop and pop corn or candy bar all for a quarter! If you bought a sugar daddy it would last all day. That was a whole nickel.

In Holcomb it was the girls doing all the fighting. TeenTown at lunch time meant FIGHT! My lunch money went for the pinball machine and jukebox. Six plays for a quarter.
Country, you met my baby brother recently with Bonehead, no that isn't right but close. LOL! Maybe Bones.
