Are Kennett Wal mart workers joining thousands of other employees in the Black Friday strike?
I support them all and admire them for sticking up for what they believe in.
Strength is in numbers! Stick together!.
It's not going to hurt WM to pay a little more per hour. Without the employees, Wal mart is nothing but a building.

Kennett WalMart is not union like the ones threatening a strike, so NO. Most of the striking workers will be warehouse workers, not store associates..

You don't have to belong to a union to stand for your rights and strike if you want.
Wal marts all over the country are walking out black Friday. I think its good that they are standing up and sticking together. Corporate greed. Look at Hostess. They give their executives 7.6 million dollars in raises and bonuses and then close then place and blame it on the employees wanting a little more money to survive on.

You seem to be really uninformed. Wal-Mart would just out right fire you for that they are not just going to let their employees skip work, and I can promise you anyone striking for them might as well start looking for a new job if they are not protected. I have an idea, if people want good vacation times GET A NEW JOB, they work at a f**king grocery store for god's sake what do they expect. Hostess really, you might want to do your research on that one cause they have been having financial issues over the past decade.

Go ahead and strike I hope they fire you for not showing up for work. With unemployment as high as it is you should be thankful you have a job at all. There are lots of people willing to take your job.

Did you also know that a CEO of any company is ranked #1 most stressful job position in the U.S., or at least in top 3. There is a BIG difference between responsibility of stocking shelves and managing a supermarket giant like Wal-Mart. As I said before, they work at a grocery store don't act like they're entitled to some massive wealth or benefits because of it. Had they taken the right paths in life they might not be stuck there and they themselves could be running some company, so I blame the employees, not Wal-Mart and as said above, be thankful you even have a job.

Wal-Mart workers protesting their employer complain of low wages, poor working conditions and inadequate health benefits, among other grievances. "Making Change," A Facebook page devoted to the protests, had more than 29,000 followers as of Monday afternoon.

Wal-Mart employees began walking off the job last week week ahead of Black Friday, when three union-backed groups expect thousands of protests nationwide.

"Wal-Mart is doing everything in its power to attempt to silence our voice," said Colby Harris, who works at a Wal-Mart store in Lancaster, Texas. "But nothing not even this baseless unfair labor practice charge will stop us from speaking out."

I was just over at WalMart. Everything appears normal and there's no indication of a strike or walk out.

i totally agree with you. With so little job offerings her in kennett, a lot of ppl have to work at wal mart. I think they deserve a raise and the company not to be allowed to cut their hours so as to not have to offer insurance. Pitiful.

Walmart made over 12 billion dollars profit last year. I think they could afford a little wage increase. When 90% of your workforce is eligible for food stamps, that should tell management something.

Or it should tell the employees "Hey I work at a grocery store and I make shit money, maybe I should get an education and a better job." Oh wait, I just wanna work at a high school dropout job and make more then manual labor workers do never mind. Some people are just idiots, get a new job if you don't like it, cant find one? That's your problem. I get so tired of hearing Wal-Mart workers bitch like they actually had to work hard to get that job. Also don't they give pay raises with senority; "BUT I WANT MY MONEY NOW!" With my hard sweaty back breaking grocery store hours hahaha.
