I went to www.ask.com and typed in: Value of an old glass Purex bottle with a stopper--When the options came up there was one for Antique Purex bottles. You might find some help there. Good luck

BTW let us know if you find out the value of the bottle. My uncle worked at the Purex plant in St. Louis for 20 years (that's been years ago). I will ask him if he remembers any bottles like this being made at that plant.

I remember the purex bottles but don't remember the stopper. When I was three I feel on one and almost bleed to death. I have several Old Judge Coffee jars that are criss cross in design with an oval in the middle with an owl in it. I have three quart size and one gallon. Would be interested in selling.

The only problem with eBay is that you might see an inflated selling price. Maybe 2 people get on there and want the bottle, they keep bidding against each other, trying to show the other one up. The result is that somebody ends up paying waaay too much for the item. The next one may sell for only a 10th of that price.

just go to ebay, then type in glass bleach bottle for the search, it will bring up lots of items, then pick out which one you want to look at, try antiques first.

Hi,

I dig old bottles all of the time and I can safely say that an old Purex bottle with stopper has a value of only 1-2 dollars - max.

Well lets see, Example: I have 4 really old jim beam bottles, to a collector they are worth alot ! to the average "joe" nothing ! So your bottle might be worth $50 to the right person. But you could have a truck load of old bottles but if you don't have anyone to buy it its not worth much ! Hope that helped. Tip ! The best way to get the most out of what you have is advertisment, the more people that know, the better chance you have of someone wanting it ! no charge !
