Yet ANOTHER school shooting has claimed the lives of innocent children. People this is just crazy!:(( we can not even send our children to school anymore without having to worry about their safety! People of kennett, our school systems have practically no security systems at all. Join me in demanding our school systems install metal detectors in our schools and take more safety precautions!! These are our babies!!!!

People should also be required to have a current mental health screening before they are allowed to purchase a gun. That wouldn't solve all such problem, of course, but it's a practical step that could be taken to reduce the number of nuts with guns.

Absolutely!! We should do something about our school system. We have practically no security for our kids

It isn't except for those in the line of fire. It's time for rational, not emotional, thought and action.

If they can require a Federal Marshall in every commercial airplane, why cant they have a security guard in every school?

As with all problems that we wish to solve, we must treat the root and not the symptoms. The root of the problem is mental illness. Just over 30% of Americans now have mental problems of one sort or another. Guns are a symptom; what we must do now is find the way to keep guns out of the hands of unstable people.

In China today, a man stabbed and killed over 20 people. Knives aren't the problem there. Nuts are. They have to find a way to keep knives out of the hands of nuts.

The best thing that parents can do is to set a proper role model for their children. Show them how to love and respect others. Teach them that those who are unloved and disrespected often go mad and become dangerous. Give children an opportunity to discuss their fears, concerns, and ambitions and support and reward them as they move upward. Happy children become happy adults. That's the job of parents: create loving children, not angry ones.

Schools should have metal detectors They also should have security guards at every school in the country. It would open up thousandths of more jobs and make kids and parents feel safe. These kids are our future. I have a child that's in kindergarten an this breaks my heart to hear. People want to blame it on guns control and this and that. That's not are problem. And all the people and scientist and this and that that goes on and on about the world coming to a end, they do nothing but fuel these people's fire. Nobody knows!!! Stop making predictions and telling people stuff you have no control over. All of you idiots that believe that are as stupid as the ones saying it. We all will be doing our normal thing come the 22 I bet you that. Prayers for these families an kids and community. Sad sad day in the world

That's very true, all I'm saying is the school systems need more security. I agree with buckwheat why can we not have security guards in place where our kids go to school? Doesn't seem outrageous to me. Too many of these school shootings have happened. I think it's beyond time to do something about it.

I agree with that for sure! All this talk about the world ending is stupid! We have no control over that, but we as parents do have the control over what goes on in the school systems that are funded by our tax dollars! This should not be a debate over the welfare and safety of our kids and the school teachers as well

Who's going to pay for these armed security guards?

Education budgets are already being slashed.

Tax payers, I would be more than happy to pay a few extra dollars to ensure the safety of our children. Not everything is always about money ya know?

Security should be as follows....all access to entrances should be locked...video access/surveillance push a button to let the school ur business and show proper identification, then a security guard have them walk thru a metal dector. Said to say but I'd this is what it has to come to for our children to be safe.....then the government and President should back and idea like this one or even a better one the funds to make this happen!!!! Prays go out from me and my family for all the ppl this has impacted! God wrap Ur loving arms around them and help comfort them.
