Eagles Club Closing

What is up with the Eagles club closing so early. I went out there at 10:30 and it was closed. There was 3 cars still there, but the doors was locked and no one would even answer the phone. No wonder they are losing money. They have lost my business for a while. I will just go somewhere else and spend money instead of supporting the club. I can understand closing early for a holiday, but this is the weekend, a saturday night.

The only thing that is keeping the club above water is Bingo. It would've been gone a long time ago if it wasn't for Bingo. It has kept the club afloat since the late 90's. A lot of clubs are hurting in these sad economic times. Kennett PD is getting several now every weekend for DWIs.

You can have customers if your not open. I guess that is what the trustees out there want. Even if they was closed when I called out there, the trustee or the bartender still should have answered the phone and said the place was closed. Maybe they wanted to party some where else instead of working. People are out on the weekend and you never know when they will show up. But they can't go to a place that is closed.

I am going to assume the person that posted is a memeber and has a keycard. A key card will only get you in the door if the main doors are unlocked with a key.

The winter hours is 2pm until they (Trustee and/or bartender) decide to close. So, closing time could be any time.

Did you ever happen to think that just because there are cars outside, does not mean there are people inside. Sometimes people leave with others and go elsewhere. If you have a complaint, why don't you attend the meeting and voice your concerns there instead of sharing your thoughts with the whole town of Kennett. The trustees, bartenders and members want all the business they can get. The club is a decent place to attend. Let's keep it that way.

It was 10:30 the place should have been open. No excuse for it being closed. As far as the trustees they could care less about the place. The trustees use the bartender position as a way to get a piece from. Thats why you have such a high turn over rate with bartenders. I will agree the place is decent when it is open. But like I know and you know there are some bad apples out there that run people off.

I know the trustees very well and apparently you don't! They do care about the place or they wouldn't be out there working there buts off to keep it open. You are probably one of the jack asses that sits out there and moans, groans and complains, but doesn't want to help with any of the work. Until you step up and help the trustees, keep your comments to yourself. And as far as your comment about them using the bartenders to get a piece, you have no clue what you are talking about. There is a turnover rate because people don't want to work nowadays.

All small eagles clubs are struggling, and its the people that volinteer to help that care, The person who said they were closed at 10.30, maybe they didnt have people in there to warrent them to keep the doors open, our poilcy is that at least three members must be in the club to stay open, we as officers and members who help voliteer don't want to sit untl we hours of the nite for one person to come in and have a few drinks.
So hey member, volinteer sometime, to work and then you can stay there all night..
