This is a good man and a very good Chief of Police. He should be given the benifit of the doubt. I would'nt trust any opinions as to the presents of alcohol as a possible factor. A lot of people have wanted to cause this man problems due to his sterness as a police officer. He's already retired from the Marietta Police Department and in all likely hood getting close to retirement at Kennesaw. He has done more good than bad. Let him retire with dignity and peace. Regardless of what has been said, You are still one of the best that I have met. I wish you well.I worked under your command for several years, and i learned a lot. I respected you then and i still have that high degree of respect for you now.

just a matter of time before the city grew a set to get rid of the raging alcoholic who continually had alcohol related accidents. Kennesaw should be grateful he didn't kill anyone. The Tim Callahan moto is do as I say, not as I do. Now maybe they'll clean house by getting rid of Billy boy and hiring a competant leader that gives a damn about his officers and can make a decision with the Billy Westenberger tap dance we've all seen to often. Oh yeah, take that sorry useless POS Steve Kennedy with you.

I have determined through reading your mesage that you are a member of the Marietta Police Department. Your message is laced with the ignorance that leads to wrongful death suites and drug dealing within your department.

You evidentally don't have a clue either. For one you have no idea where I work and I have seen the acts of Tim Callahan first hand for several years. So if somebody as IGNORANT as youcondonescover ups, you just as sorry.

My child was recently stopped by a Kennesaw officer for speeding.(Doing 30 in a 25 mile zone).
Upon checking her licenses, they found her name on licenses and social security number were not exactly the same.(Due to marriage 13 yrs. ago). First name had been left off and married name added. She was handcuffed and transported to jail, booked and posted a $l050 cash bond. She had her 4 year old daughter with her and was given 2 minutes to have someone pick up her daughter and car or the child would be turned over to DFAC. Luckly, her husband was within 2 miles and able to get there. She is a professional and works for a local bank. Was it really necessary for this? Or was it a waste of tax-payer money? Maybe Kennesaw needs a completely new force. Or at least policemen who do not need a back up when they stop a young mother with her child. And, by the way, she was fined 500.00 when she went before the judge. A little high for a speeding ticket, don't you think.

Seeing the "MOTHER" post, I thought I would post about my recent experience w/ Kennesaw's finest. I was also stopped when traveling on the access road behind Wal-greens (Pine Mtn). I was leaving Wal-greens and was stopped because I was traveling on a road that said "NO THRU TRAFFIC". When I tried to explain my route that I was taking, I was asked if I was getting "SMART". The charge later came back as my licenses were suspended (NOT TRUE ACCORDING TO DDS - THEY WERE INVALID WHICH HAPPENS TO BE A LESSER SENTENCE) due to SSN Verification and I was charged (wrongfully accussed) of being on my cell phone. I was also transported to jail. The officer told me that it was my lucky day and that I need to have someone to get my car w/in minutes. Lucky day, huh? I did ask the office to NOT be so rude to me. This officer - exmarine and heavy northern accent - said "Ma'am I'm not being rude, I have to put food on my table for my family". Whatever that means -- possibly the officer gets credit for writing bogus tickets. At any rate, the Kennesaw police have reputation of NOT protecting the community.......they love to harrass them. I had no idea that my license were invalid. I do think the Police Chief needs to educate his officers a little better so that they know the difference b/n suspended vs. invalid. My court date is pending. I'm not happy to see the "MOTHER" comment though - doesn't sound hopefuly.

As long as you live in the beautiful Cobb County government, you will see plenty of unfairness and law breaking by these small town police departments. It will take a revolution to stop it and I don't want to be gunned down. The best thing you can do is move away from Cobb County and make sure you don't move into another county just like it. Try moving out of the state like to Tenn. or Alabama

COBB stands for County On Being Busted!

Everyone in Cobb no matter who you are will eventually be harassed by the police.
