Unlike the first two coward posters. They reap the benifits of war, but talk crap about it, so they can go home at night, kiss the fat ugly wife, and say to themselves, "I'm a good person."
When they proclaim that they're going to give the property rights of their homes to the Indians after they die (that's not a lot to ask for people who were essentially wiped off the planet), then they can come out and talk crap about our wars.
They won't, because they're hypocrites and cowards.
McNamara did what he perceived he had to do under the circumstances, and the only thing he may not have done right is not saying, "F U, I'd do it again."
Nobody can predict what would have happened if we avoided Viet Nam, but the fact remains, communism is evil, it destroys and cripples nations, and anyone who would take up a gun in it's defense are instruments of evil, and should be confronted, even violently. Were it not for communist operatives loading up the Roosevelt administration, and beyond, to steal our most significant technology, Russia and China would still be in a comparative stone age.
Period.
Communism was a real, and significant threat from the twenties, until the seventies. Nobody knew how far they would take it, but Stalin gave us a very good primer on his goals, and his style of achieving them, on a number of occasions, of which most American's are completely ignorant.
The only mistake McNamara made was settling for a war of attrition, rather than bringing ho chi min to his knees in a matter of weeks. The bombings of Cambodia and North Viet Nam brought the Viet Namese to the table each time, and media coverage encouraged them to walk away.
If anyone caused the unnecessary loss of life in the war, it was Walter Cronkite. Go bother him.

Sadly history has taught you absolutely nothing so all you can do is pick up "old boys" lines and make an effort to insult the other writers above (you failed there too miserably)
Fact is that we had no business in Vietnam and no true American should EVER have allowed the risk of death of 55,000 of our fellow country men. And as for the "danger" of communisme......history should have taught you by now that it did not need our boys lives to fall...it self destructed as do all tyrannies in due time.
But please continue to believe in the lies of your right wing buddies (weapons of mass destruction...connections with El Qauda and so on and leave the borders open and do nothing meaningfull inside our own land like taking it back from the drug dealers and hoodlums)
Now go in peace!

Oh and that does so much for the thousands of young American men that died because of his ignorance and power mongering. There is a special place in the deepest bowels of hell for this Terd!(Misspelling intended.)

Glad to see you're back. Great picture, by the way.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Cancer

Take things gently otherwise you'll end up running round in ever-decreasing circles. Yes, you may still have a lot to do but you won't achieve very much if you develop butterfingers or waste all your energy on a full-blown panic. Maybe you could rope someone into helping you, rather than doing your Cinderella act in the kitchen while everyone else takes it easy?
