I have lived here for 8 years and I agree that it has rapidly become a drug-infested town. However I think that people are basing many of their stereotypical opinions on the bad areas of New Caney, such as the trailer parks, etc. Many of the people who live in New Caney are simply poor, and there are people who have money and choose to live in the places they do to have extra money for other things. There are actually many successful people in New Caney, but they keep to themselves.
It may not be the greatest town, and it may not be a town I want to stay in forever, but it is my hometown and always will be.

i have lived here for 27 years. three years ago when the mexicans moved in and brought there trashy trailers,goats,chickens,bulldo gs,cows and loud music,we just went to crap. land value went down cant get out if i wanted to. turned our neighbor hood into little mexico. i just hate it
