Since when is asking a question criticism?
When asking the question implies ignorance on the part of the questionee. Duh.

Who cares why he was on the roof? Does that change anything?
Are you serious? If he wasn't on the roof he wouldn't be dead. Your comment is maybe the dumbest I have seen on any message board.

I hope that you all never have to experience what I have had to over the last two days and what I'm sure will be dragged out for much longer due to the ignorance of some. I know for a fact that Lambda Chi nationals actually does have an officer who makes sure hazing is not taking place. Case in point the IU chapter is currently under Alumni control due to hazing incidents.
As for all of you who continue to point at alcohol, foul play and suicide, you are all full of shit. If you thought before you spoke you might realize that it has already been reported that alcohol was not a factor. As for the reference to foul play and suicide, he was by himself when the incident occured as well as the fact that the roof was metal and frosted over due to the cold weather.
As I said, I hope that none of you ever have to face such a tragedy. As a member of the swim team, a mentor to him and a brother in his fraternity, the last few days have been hell on earth. Please have a little more tact. What would you feel if this was a family member of yours? Come on...empathy, class and composure please.
Looks like you were 100% wrong. Alcohol was involved.

At least it didn't take them two months to find his body.

Maybe his family won't get as much money in a settlement as the Purdue kid's family got.

I did not know Pat but he was close to some of my friends back home and just from talking to them I can tell that he was an amzing kid and it breaks my heart to see something happen to such an amazing kid.

It's a really sad day when the death of a young man becomes a topic for people to rant on their individual beliefs.

My thoughts and prayers go out to this man's family, friends and the whole Wabash community.

First of all let me begin by saying I knew Patrick, and I am very close with the brothers of a Lambda Chi Alpha and the swim team. What happened this past weekend was an accident and if you would listen to what they said on the news and not what you want to hear then you would already know that drinking had NO part in this. Wabash is not just a college it is a large family and there are many people who were affected by this lost. I would only ask this simply thing from all of you reading this and that is for the sake of Patrick's family, Brothers, teammates, and friends if you have nothing nice to say do not post anything at all. Before you go rushing to conclusions please put yourself in their shoes and think about how you would feel reading these if this was someone you loved.

Yes, that may be true. But given the CURRENT circumstance, does it really matter??? No. It won't change anything so why harp on it? You may be the biggest jerk I have ever seen on any message board.

See? Someone named "Brother in Mourning" and what do you do? Point out that he was wrong. Nice. Your poor mother - what did she do wrong?
