Im surprised this is the first time this has happened. Wabash owns the town of Crawfordsville and the let the
Wabash "men" do whatever they want.
Stay-tuned alcohol contributed to the death.

Why does it matter if he was a member of a fraternity? What's that got to do with anything?

No matter what the circumstances of his death, this will hit the campus hard. Wabash is a small and close-knit community.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and the entire college.

Why does everyone jump to the suspicion that alcohol was involved. That was not mentioned in the story at all.

And, all of those insensitive remarks about "watch this" and "watch me"... you are sick people.

Can someone please delete these comments before anymore of his friends and family members have to read it?

You're sick and pathetic. Have some decency. You didn't know Patrick and even if alcohol was involved, his memory, his family, and all of his friends and teammates certainly don't deserve your rude commentary.

As a Wabash alum, I can attest to the fact that this is a tragedy, and undoubtedly, we will be hearing more about the circumstances in the coming days. For now, my thoughts go out to his family and friends--both on campus and off.

That's so tragic! It is truly sad though that so many ignorant hateful people have so many rude things to say. It's a sad loss and my prayers go out to his family and friends.

This is a very sad story. Can't believe the insensitive remarks on this board.

As a Wabash alum who lost a classmate while at the school, I know this will hit the community hard. They will rally as a college.

Thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and classmates.

Lambda Chi Alpha International does not tolerate hazing and the Wabash College chapter started the process to eradicate it in the late 1960's, several years before the Associate (not pledge) program was instituted in the early 70's by the international fraternity.

Lambda Chi associates (pledges in some houses) have immediate voting rights in Lambda Chi Alpha chapters on everything except whether or not they will become permanent members.

It looks to me to be an unfortunate accident, but I'm waiting for more facts to come out before making a final opinion on it.

Who is really ignorant in this situation? A person falling off a roof or someone commenting on a person falling off a roof?

You all are ridiculous. This is not the forum for such comments on an event such as this.

And Greedy Genius. If you have never been to the Lambda Chi house, then you're oblivious to the life/atmosphere there. You don't know what you're talking about.

I think many of the comments here are very tasteless... particularly, the comments mentioning the death of this young man "hitting the campus hard." You people are sick, he fell off a roof.

You sound like a typical bitter "Townie". I guess alcohol is only an issue at Wabash, huh? Shame on you --- there are some devastated people today who will never be the same.
