Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
1Tim 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1Tim 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
1Tim 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

ELCA never ceases to amaze me. In this case we have people outside this district allowed to define who shall be the districts bishop. Talk about the opportunity to munipulate an election, wow!
Second we have a story on again a woman for the bishop's office. Do the scriptures have any authority on this issue? St. Paul says he does not allow a woman to assume authority over man but ELCA says no to this. Why?
Third ELCA's position on the allowing homosexuals to assume the pastoral role and thereby placing its blessing on the homosexual life style, inspite of all the scriptures condemnations of this lifestyle, raises the question of what does ELCA use as its theological guide? It certainly is not the scriptures.
I rest my case. Thank you.
May God help us all to clearly see His will on all matters and impower us to obey it!
