Get with the program people... anytime you see a *.exe file in your email, do not run it! It doesn't matter if it's coming from your best friend who loves to forward you all his/her funny jokes.

An exe file is an executable file - in layman's terms - the file could very well contain a virus, or in this case contain the code necessary for this controlling and corrupt individual to spy on a former girlfriend.

No computer should be without a anti-virus program.

Any e-mail that contains an EXE that wants you to open it is 99.999% of the time including a Virus or Ad/Spyware. Both are extremely bad for your computer. You should never open an EXE from an e-mail even if you have a virus scanner, because virus scanners won't pick up new virus'... Be smart people.

Remember, 99,99999% are virus'.

This cop should talk with a real computer geek so he wouldn't get caught. He should have used spector pro and he would still be tracking.

So much for justice as this guy was suspended WITH PAY. Seems when anyone in government is accused or is guilty, they never suffer like a non-government member of society suffers.
It's is as the taxpayers exist to fund those in government. And the guy was using the taxpayer funded computer at police station while on duty.

The article doesn't mention "stalking" and a whole slew of other offenses. Also doesn't mention the penalties....maybe that's because THERE WON'T BE ANY! Don't expect a follow-up on this story.

Why is it that so many police officers have issues with control jealousy?
If they broke up last fall, why is he reading her email in April and May? Sounds like a control freak and I believe that he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

At least he got busted before he further used his 'privileges' and actually hurt someone; which is what this type of behavior, unchecked, leads to.

... It is funny how so many police are being found to be corupt here in Indiana. Might have to do with the fact that almost all the agencies within our state pass up people who are qualified, have experience and would make a great cop for people who have connections... *shruggs*

It's sad that this person is a police officer, someone we're suppose to look to for help. I feel sorry for the people of Kendallville.
