I recently was a computer technician for the State of Alaska. Before that I was a full time Alaska Army National Guardsman. I had the honor of meeting Gov Sarah Palin once.

I was the driver for the Dep of Military and Veterans Affairs’ management (directors, commish, etc). They had me drop them off at the capitol building to meet with their newly elected governor and they invited me to sit in on the meet and greet.

I have to say that Gov Palin is a very good communicator by the fact that she really listens to you when you are talking. During the meeting she had to step out for a five minute prior arrangement.

We continued our briefing with her chief of staff. She returned and apologized for the interuption. She had promised her youngest daughter that no matter if she became the governor or not she would still take the time to pick her up at the bus stop after school.

That of course doesnt come from a power hungry politician. This is the kinda rare person that you run across at school or work once or twice in your life and you say to them,“Someone like you should be the President.”

That person emits such an honest quality about them…caring yet very strong. The person we wish all our leaders would be. And of course they always just grin and say,“Me, President? Yeah, right.”

But now’s our chance to have that kinda person in the White House, at least as OUR Vice President of the United States of America.

Ive read some comments on the net that say Gov Palin hasnt even left the US let alone has no foreign experience. Check out the Commander and Chief of the Alaska National Guard visiting her troops in the field in the middle east.

http://asecondhandconjecture.com/index.php/20...

Thought: There are several states that border or reside across narrow waters to foreign soil. Alaska not only shares a border with Canada but is in some places a hop skip away from Russia. She is trying to work with Canada to get oil/gas from Alaska down to the 48s via a pipeline running from her state through Canada. Also, Alaska has a sister country, Mongolia, that the Alaska Guard sends troops over to train their soldiers every year (I went over as a medical sergeant to teach Combat Life Saver skills in Dalazangad). By being the Commander and Chief of those Army and Air Guarsmen that would lend some foreign experience in my eyes. Also, her soldiers guard the Ground Missle Defense system in Alaska. This protects the West from North Korean nuclear attack..you know, the more I think about it the more I realize an Alaskan Governor should have been picked for a White House ticket a long time ago.

If you will do a little more investigating you will know what all Alaskans already know about Walt Monegan and the fact that Democratic Anchorage Mayor and now US Senate candidate, Mark Begich, also sent him packing when he was the Anchorage Chief of Police. The guy is a self-serving jerk and everyone in Alaska knows that this story has no legs.

Let me see.... you have a trooper (Wooten) who tazers his kid, reportedly beat his wife, was allegedly drinking in his squad car, allegedly threatened Palin's parents and took game illegally. You or I would be in prison if we did the same things. The trooper got 5 days of leave and returned to work. I think the comissioner should have been fired if he didn't have the guts to do his job and fire Wooten. I am amazed Wooten is still a trooper. This is such a non issue. Monegan is upset because he was let go end of story.. I would be embarassed if I were in Monegan's position why in the world would he keep somebody like that on duty? Alaska's troopers are some of the best in the world I am sure they are ashamed of Wooten and Monegan..

It seems her 16 year-old daughter got knocked-up and Palin faked a pregnancy. Trig is her grandson not her son.
Yeah, celebglitz is your source for factual information. Everyone who is saying this is calling it a rumor. I wonder what you would have said about the National Enquirer before Edwards was outed. By the way, THAT wasn't a rumor.

It's all speculation, but I think it's great that the liberal focus on this. They will look foolish in the end.

well well, it didn't take long for her to join the ranks of corrupt officals. pressuring the firing of her brother in law, about a family disagreement. just what we need in the white house, one heart beat behind a 72 year old, with medical history of skin cancer and what's with that swollen gland. great republican pick, power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. she can get in line right behind "w" and his vp.

It is your opinion that she is corrupt however no one has mentioned that the ex-brotherinlaw threatened to kill Mrs. Pallins Father. The trooper should have been terminated immediately; he was a ticking time bomban and had to go any way possible.

Alaska Business Monthly: We've lost a lot of Alaska's military members to the war in Iraq. How do you feel about sending more troops into battle, as President Bush is suggesting?

Palin: I've been so focused on state government, I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq.

Yup. She has a great capacity to instill lots of confidence.

This story has no legs but I hope the Dems run with it so she picks it up and crushes it over their heads. It will be fun to watch her due that to the Democrats when all the facts of the story are reported.

Actually, this is a great comment. Someone who is focused on her own state's issues, and hasnt lied about supporting the war.(Hello Barrack, nice to see you finally know where Iraq is)

Actually, it's Barack; one "r". The beauty queen has a HUGE learning curve given that all she's been focused on is her own state.

He also tasered his 11-year-old son and defended that by saying the boy asked what it felt like, and drank while driving his patrol car.
