Dipnetter loses truck while launching boat at low tide - KTVA

Dipnetters at the mouth of the Kasilof River sprang into action on Thursday afternoon to help one of their own, but not in time to keep a pickup truck mired in the mud on the north side of the river from being swamped by the incoming tide.

I'd rather have them on top of Palin and Helthcare than have them so concerned about an idiot that lost his truck to the tide. If you knew this happened on Thursday, then why didn't you tip them off. They aren't going to know about what happens in some remote location unless somebody tells the newsroom so they can dispatch a reporter. Before you make judgements about their business, you should know how the business works.

I'm from Wasilla; Been in Alaska 40 yrs.
Been down to Kasilof first time.
Normally go over to Deep Creek, Anchor River.
Finding the mouth of Kasilof was interesting.
Drove a Ford Excursion with a buddy of mine from Chicago. So called locals; Oh yea you could drive there to the mouth of the Kasilof.
Just; People Need To Be Aware. I stuck my feet in Ship Creek; Made It Home Alive
