I've adopted a soldier, already sent a package with medical/hygiene supplies. Off the the grocery store for a food package. Any suggestions on food items? Trying to think of what I/Family would miss from home.

My nephew, when he was over in Iraq, said they wanted things they could take out in the field with them. Power bars or the like, instant soups, the hygiene supplies were one of the most requested. He also wanted T-shirts to work out in. Not sure if they allow home made cookies but that would bring the taste of home to them.
