Well, evidently the shooter was a Malik Nadal Hassan, who was a convert to Islam.
So much for those right-wing Christian religious nutcakes, hey?

Why is the Government trying to state that this was not terrorism? Let's see a Muslim killing Americans while screaming Allah Akbar..nope no terrorism there. Meanwhile CNN is running a story about Muslims preaching the killing of Americans outside a Mosque in NYC. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

The nation was treated to a rare glimpse into the real Obama. Yet you have to wonder how many really noticed. His rambling two minute build up, including a playful shout out to a conference attendee, before actually uttering something about the tragedy at Fort Hood demonstrated his priorities and just how self-absorbed this guy is. Clearly Obama simply used the Fort Hood tragedy as merely an excuse to justify being on TV today.

http://www.youtube.com/watch...

How convenient it was for CBS to cut out the part where he’s celebrating his outreach to Native Americans, which he called a “Top Priority”.
The media is already cutting the tape to make the man look presidential instead of clueless and immature.

Without fanfare, O should have flown to the site of the massacre and ACTed like a commander-in-chief. A press conference does not provide leadership.
Oh, and he blew the "Shout Out".
1. Joe Medicine Crow NEVER received the Congressional Medal of Honor (He received the Bronze Star and the Congressional Gold Medal - a civilian award)

For one thing, the shooter was American; born and raised here, and no he was not a convert. He joined the military, just like millions of other Americans, and made a career of serving his country. Many of his colleagues speak highly of him. Although I cannot say that I'm free of prejudice, I don't think this incident has anything to do with his race, religion, ethnic culture, or that he's a terrorist for that matter. Wackos come in all colors. Apparently, he's been looking for a way out of the military so maybe like most unstable people, this was the solution.

Stop covering you Cambridge fruit...he was a convert to Islam and was reported to have yelled Allah Akbar as he shot innocent people. Have you not seen the picture of him getting all dressed up in his jihad gear that morning??

Because despite what we'd all like to believe, as the investigation continues, there's no evidence so far that supports this assumption.

BTW, another wacko open-fired today in a highrise down in Florida. Another sick and desperate soul. What's wrong with people these days?

Are you kidding me? His solution to get out of the military was to murder 13 and wound 30 Soldiers? What the hell are you smoking?

Like I said, he's not quite right. Sick people don't think rationally. Come to think of it, there are plenty of sane people who don't rationalize very well either.

At least one pragmatic comment. The urge to speculate is understandable but should be controlled at least some by what is supposed to be factual News reporting. All MSM were negligent in this aspect yesterday including Keith Olberman and MSNBC. There is no excuse for what this man did but it was a sure reversal of all the help he has given to others.

Much of the initial coverage about Fort Hood turned out to be wrong. Is there anything wrong with that?

"But shouldn't there be some standards governing what gets reported and what is held back? Particularly in a case like this -- which, for obvious reasons, has the potential to be quite inflammatory on a number of levels -- having the major media "report" completely false assertions as fact can be quite harmful. It's often the case that perceptions and judgments about stories like this solidify in the first few hours after one hears about it. The impact of subsequent corrections and clarifications pale in comparison to the impressions that are first formed. Despite that, one false and contradictory claim after the next was disseminated last night by the establishment media with regard to the core facts of the attack. Here are excerpts from Allahpundit's compilation, virtually all of which -- except where indicated -- came from large news outlets:"

"Isn't it clear that anyone following all of that as it unfolded would have been more misinformed than informed?"

KENNIF: I am speculating.. That's true. We have very limited information right now. But we're all speculating. And what I'm saying is my speculation seems to fit a lot more in with the reality of this case.

Obama is playing out a drama on the world stage, addressing Islam as a virtual supplicant, and conceding serious issues, while getting nothing in return. Why?

He demanded a complete freeze on Israeli settlement building.
Those demands hardened Palestinian attitudes, and the PA made a total settlement freeze a precondition for resuming peace talks.
He promised he would meet without preconditions with any foreign leader. For 9 months, and pressured Congress not to pass any tougher sanctions bill against Iran,
When the mullahs stole the recent election he avoided criticizing the brutal suppression of dissent, calling only for an end to violence. When the group of six nations met Iran offered a plan for taking low enriched uranium from Iran to Russia for further enrichment (ignoring Iran's violation of prior Security Council resolutions that prohibited such enrichment at all), Iran stalled,, and blocked the deal. We have been slapped around and humiliated, which is what happens when you are taken for a weakling.
So why does the he adopt such positions? When assembled in the video below, Obama's comments on Islam are stunning.

He was born and raised as a Muslim, if you've bothered to find anything out about thhis situation. But again, don't think it's relevant. By the way, I'm not a fruit: just someone who likes to have as much info as possible regarding most things in general. It's what helps me feel sane and secure in this crazy f'd up world. Oh and another thing, I neither live nor work in Cambridge-not even close. All of your comments here show you like to ASSume things!

Him yelling "allah akbar", as he shot soldiers in the back, makes this a muslim terror attack .
This will be advertised by the Media as a U.S.soldier killing other soldiers. But in truth this is the MURDEROUS HATEFULL religion of islam carrying out their stated mission----CONVERT THE INFIDEL(NON BELIVERS)OR KILL THE INFIDEL. There is a coming WAR.That war will be the war between CHRISTIANS and muslims !!! Thank LIBERAL MULTICULTURALISM for this DISASTER.

Let's not jump to conclusions, folks. Not until all the inconvenient facts are properly suppressed. Not until the approved facts are properly trumped up. Then we can "arrive" at the proper media and Democrat approved conclusion.

Am I getting the hang of this, Mr Behind?

First, my thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of the fallen, and the wounded. It takes immense courage to volunteer to protect us and our freedoms, but to be gunned down by a senior officer while not able to defend themselves, it's just tragic. And now we need to take steps to prevent this from happening again. But, while we are doing that, we must not associate the man who perpetrated this act of terror with his fellow religious fanatics. Hell, we can't even call it an act of terror. No, Mr. President, we won't jump to conclusions (although that didn't stop YOU earlier this year with the Gate's summit!). We don't have to jump to conclusions, we can see with our own eyes what happened here. Tell you what, Obama- YOU keep your mouth shut from now on, and we won't jump to any conclusions. Deal? You are a disgrace to the office, to the men and women who rely on you to be an effective Commander In Chief, to us who you are supposed to represent, and to the founders of this nation who never intended for our country to be taken in the direction you and your minions are taking us. God, I miss President Bush (I never thought I'd hear myself say that!). At least W would have been a hell of a lot more thoughtful, forceful and decisive in dealing with this situation. And, he would have already had more troops fighting for us and the freedom lovers in Afghanistan.
