Why is this taking so long, of course he is compentant to stand trial. No insane person would spend so long planning murder with such great detail. Come on Texas, my family deserves some justice, Hidi deserves justice.

I thought Texas was tough on criminals?! What is happening here? An evil man kills his wife for a paltry life insurance money. He planned every intricate detail; obviously he is sane and should pay with his life. Either by electrocution or a life sentence without parole. I understand that an execution is much more expensive than a life sentence. The latter is fine with me since then he'll have to think and suffer with the thought of the horrific and gruesome crime he facilitated.

Texas is tough on criminals. Part of being tough on them is being thorough in the planning of the prosecution. If they just run to trial and afford a defense attorney to come back later, in an appelate court, and say that that trial was no good because the defendant has mental issues than they stand a good chance at losing the prosection alltogether. Be patient, he will get his. Sometimes you have to play their game a little in order to get what you want.

Hey you guys, we are glad here in michigan you are following this too.
Of course he is playing every card avalible to him that his council and he can cook up. Only a slight delay on the enevitable.What did happen to the speed checkout for crminals in TX? I understood they used the needle. Regardless he will eventually face the ultimate judgement.
What part of "Thou shall not" couldnt a premeditator understand?

It took a jury 45 minutes to convict him of capital murder! Woooooooo Hoooooo! He got life without the possibility of parole!

They did not seek the death penalty because they didn't think that they would get it because he didn't "pull the trigger". So...instead he's locked up forever! Beautiful!
