We need more mayors like this one, all around the nation!

"This is a most invaluable liberty guarantied to every American citizen. A people in the full enjoyment of the right of trial by jury, and all armed, are free, and cannot be reduced to slavery. In our country happily, the people are generally divided into opposing political parties of something like proximate numbers. All whether belonging to the party in power or the opposition, alike have the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. The free exercise of this right is indispensable to the safety of those in opposition, and it is equally necessary to the preservation of the liberties of all. It is impossible that half, or any great proportion of
the people of a country, should be enslaved without that soon becoming the fate of the whole. That party which preserves its own liberties, necessarily achieves the same for the entire nation..."

"...A Just, patriotic, and constitutional administration of the Government would never attempt to subvert the right the opposition, of all the people, to keep and bear arms. It is a right formidable only to tyrants, usurpers, and oppressors."

- Senator Garrett Davis, Feb. 27, 1865,[THE CONGRESSIONAL GLOBE CONTAINING THE DEBATES
AND PROCEEDINGS OF THE SECOND SESSION OF THE THIRTY EIGHTH CONGRESS ALSO OF THE SPECIAL SESSION OF THE SENATE,(Pages 1133-34).]

A Truth Check

United States

This statement by Mayor of Gun Barrel City is untrue. In reality a month before this act made national news a local lakefront homeowner in GBC related this idea to Gerry Borden, the City Manager of GBC. Mr. Borden quickly ran with the idea in passing the resolution. On reading the local papers a week latter, the individual observed the story only in the local papers without a prior notification of city manager as to the resolution passed. The individual who had a reputation of a volunteer community columist of several years with the Dallas Morning News further assisted in bringing these story to national attenion with his personal contacts with WFAA Channel Eight News. At a recent attendance of a city council meeting in GBC, the only recognition this individual received was a brief handshake with the Mayor. Nothing was said before the full attending council regarding this individuals contribution to about a half a million dollars worth of press for GBC. Perhaps that explains why there was hardly anyone present for citizen participation in the last city council meeting.

Part of the saying of Rotary International in service to others is, "Is it the truth.....Is it fair to others." The class way of leadership would have been for the Mayor to say, "The residents of GBC love our community. A citizen who wished to remain unnamed rendered this idea to our City Manager. As Mayor of GBC I feel blessed in being a Mayor of such a community."

All those shot had cell phones therefore by the presidents statement they were possible targets for elimination. Maybe next time he will use drones, they are more efficient. Do you have a cell phone?

You are on "The list". YOU are being watched. You should not have been posting to GOP members, now you are linked to them and now a target. The IRS is at this moment pulling ALL your tax returns. The FBI is checking to see if you pulled the tag off your mattress.
