Fox news had some photos up earlier. Boats where on hwy 146 and in parking lots. Small boats anyway. Go to Foxnews.com or abc news to look at the pics.

My folks have a boat in Kemah Boardwalk Marina -- I believe they are on the B dock.
One of their friends on the H dock has reported that most of the boats in the marina fared very well.
He couldn't get inside the marina, but was on the bridge with binoculars.
Hope this info helps you out

I'm looking for info on the area of Watergate marina. Have a friend that stayed near there, and as of 8:46pm today (8/13/08), we have not heard from her since before the storm. Does anyone know how high the surge was at Clear Lake?
Thanks.

Here is a post Ike video of the damage to the Kemah Boardwalk area. Its from the air but it appears the floating piers held and all the boats were kept in place.

We made it to the marina yesterday, where we have a boat, and spoke with the harbormaster. The Boardwalk Marina did not lose a single boat, he said, even the ones that were half sunk before Ike. The marina structures are devastated, but the boats look fine, though there is a lot of debris from the Boardwalk in the water. Some boats are at an angle where a cleat was ripped off, but all remained in their slips. Jibs on roller furlers were shredded on some boats but that was about it. We did not walk all the docks, as we had to get back to town before curfew, but did peek down at pier closest to garage to check on the Beast, which looked fine. Have photos if I can figure out how to post them.

We have a boat on H dock at Kemah Boardwalk Marina;Friends took photos and sent them of our boat. Our trawler lost it's bimini top and a few window covers but is otherwise fine. No interior water damage. They also reported that the docks are not in good shape but overall the marina boats looked pretty good. Our red Jaguar that was parked in the lot near the Beast was found under a pile of debris in the main parking lot in front of the main boardwalk entrance. It moved about 100 yards or more. We were really lucky compared to our friends who live on 8th and Bay Ave. Our wishes are with all the other boaters!

Hi!!! Roberta,
My parents boat is on the same pier as the beast.. The last one on the other end.. Do you think you have a picture? Its name is Jane's Priority.
If anyone has a pic of the boat please send.. I am in Nebraska and will not get down for a few weeks.

We are worried that the pump that keeps the water off (can't remember what its called) will stop working, as it is an old boat, but we love it! Can you tell Iím not the real sailor in the family.. lol this is my dadís babyÖLaunched in 1979. I am one year older than the boat.
I would appreciate it!!!!

We just got back from the kemah boardwalk marina. We did take pictures but they are nor loading because we are using bluetooth for internet and its not uploading. THE BOATS ARE FINE! Ours did not have a scratch but we had some water in the bilge. We are on the G dock. The floating docks paid off! The marina itself is destroyed. All the kiosks and small carnival rides washed up into the bay. There are stuffed animals an tv monitors and anything else you can image floating around the boats on the first few slips. The dock master Mark, is down their now, tending to anything that he can.

It's apparent you haven't learned that the staff at the Boardwalk marina doesn't have a clue of what's going on there on never has. Look at the end of B dock and you'll see a completely submerged boat!
