My family and I live in Kemah and although the news is showing what Kemah looks like after Ike has left, they are showing the wrong side. We live on the other side by Star Fleet and only wish that they had pics of that side so we could see what we were coming home to.

my aunt & uncle live across the street from the star fleet. i too have been trying to see what it looks like. they are safe, out of town. i was watching on the computer KTRK TV out of houston and they did a long broadcast and started out with the kemah boardwalk and did swing over to the star fleet side, since it was live i could not back it up to review, but it looks like there is alot of high water. i will keep trying to find out more info. hope all is well and safe with your family.

We evac'd as well and were trying to find out about the west side of 146. Home Depot had water in the parking lot and 2094 was flooded, if that helps. DOn't know about 518E, as we are in Kemah Oaks

You may want to more closely review the articles that are supposed to be "about Port Arthur". Simply having a single mention..."Both, plus another refinery in Port Arthur, lost power in the storm, he said."...doesn't necessarily mean the article is about our town.

I need info on Star Fleet Marina. You never said what damage was on that side of Kemah. What can I expect? Is there any access to Kemah? Is Star Fleet or any other Marina continuing cruises? Any businesses open yet? Does it look like the disaster zone appearing on TV? Really need to know since planning a wedding in Nov.
