yes, it was a good decision, though it wasn't a good thing that the other property was in escrow before anyone knew what was going on-that made it look like they were trying to pull a fast one. It was also sad to see some people acting like the decision was supposed to be based on the wants and needs of the business community rather than the students, for whom the travel aspect of school is critical and needs to come first.

What about the vineyard that was growing for years on the Parallel Dr property? What about the smell coming from the adjacent sewer ponds on Linda Lane? What about the "fast one" the City and Adamson pulled on the re-zone and annexation? Where was the all mighty Sierra Club and Farm Bureau on that one. And where was the all knowing smurf in all of that melee? Mendocino College didn't make a wise decision on Parallel Dr, it was their default position.

A: the vineyard was long-gone on Parallel Drive.

B; the parallel drive site had already been rezoned long ago and was FULLY general plan compliant, unlike the KV site.

C: everyone agreed the Lakeport site was not suited well to ag because of it's highway frontage and being far inside the community growth boundries.

D: I served as a commisioner on the AG element of the general plan, and I was quite involved with the planning process.

E: Lakeport was not the "default" site, it was the first option but the price was too high at first.

0-for-5 geevo, not a good batting average!

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Leo

If you look closely, you'll see a black cloud hovering over a loved one's head. They'll find the smallest excuse for losing their temper or throwing a tantrum, so tiptoe around them or try to jolly them out of their filthy mood. If the situation continues you may decide that it would be better to get the inevitable argument out of the way than to pussyfoot around them any longer.
