What about the Lake County "Economic Development and Marketing Plan" that was created in 2002, by Chandler, Brooks & Donahoe, Inc., of Olympia, Washington, and partnering firm Chabin Concepts, Inc. of Chico??? It's purpose was supposedly to "develop an economic development plan with a tourism element, and a marketing plan for both tourism promotion and the recruitment of targeted economic development projects."

I realize that the marketing plan currently being discussed has some differences than the one I just cited. However, shouldn't we look to the information that has already been compiled and implement some of those ideas before spending who knows how much additional tax payer dollars on another similar piece of work?

Come on now! With the current state of the economy, do we really need ANOTHER Lake County Marketing plan?

Hey Tony how about South lake County, ya know where all the "people" come traveling through, this South County area is what they see FIRST!!!

Besides the marketing you have been doing needs a major overhall.
1) The Lake County website totally sucks!
2) The ads you run in VIA and other publications are SMALL and suck too!
3) No content in directing traffic to the current site!
4) Lake County looks like Ensenada Mexico in many places
5) Go ahead readers add to this list and tell your BOS

yeah south lake county sucks, it has houses and thats about it, middletown was built a long ass time ago, the casino is now the nicest thing, its time to expand it with some nice buildings and give it, its own touch. people will like the open roads here, hidden valley basically has nothing, you cant call it a city or a town because it doesnt have everything needed to support life on its own, a city or town should be able to keep itself going, doctors, dentists, clothing, food, and so on

Find Five thousand marijuana plants on a supervisors property look the other way.

Where are the priorities. To protect and serve, or is it to protect and make subserviant.
What is to offer up in Lake County now. Pot Fields and Meth Labs.
