Hunters killed 266 bison during the 2007 Wyoming bison season, close to the harvest objective of 300. The hunt occurs near the town of Jackson in northwestern Wyoming. Hunters killed 85 bull bison and 137 cow bison on the National Elk Refuge, as well as 27 bulls and 17 cows on the neighboring National Forest.
