The Pelican Bay Quick Stop has drawn customers picking up drinks, ice and food on their way to Eagle Mountain Lake, significantly bumping up tax revenue.
"We were struggling with the budget," City Secretary Diane Hester said. "This is more than we anticipated."

And this is why you almost never see the slumlords and their criminal minions using this store.
They would rather be seen conspiring together at Lucky Lady while hatching out their political shenanigans than financially support this city in any way at all.
Which also explains why so many empty slumlord lots are listed as worth only $1000 on property tax roles, even though they sell the same empty lots for $25k or more later to suckers, I mean, buyers.
