It's good to see this being considered. By the same token, the city of Keller needs to look at ALL crosswalks going over busy streets, especially 377 and Keller Parkway. Many of them don't allow enough time for kids to safely cross, and traffic signals favor commuter traffic far too much over school-going traffic-- really silly when one considers that many drivers are dropping off kids on their way to work.

The money breaks down to $500 per kid. I drive my two back and forth to school everyday because I dont want them on the bus. I put them on the bus for about 3 months and pulled them off. Maybe I should have demanded private transportation paid by the district since they couldnt/wouldnt provide them with safe transporation on the buses. Let the parents foot the bill and give the taxpayers a break. As a parent/taxpayer in the KISD, I am sick of being stuck with the bill for things that should be provided by the district but arent because there is never enough money. Yet we build football stadiums and provide buses for kids whose parents choose not to arrange alternate transportation for their kids when they are within the the walking boundaries.

Here we are 4 yrs later and the City of Keller, The Keller ISD Trustees still
think they are in the money business. They are in the business of education, and they should spend the tax money on the students and instructions The Citizens of Fort worth will continue to vote Keller ISD tax increase, we have the numbers. Lets put Citizens of Fort Worth on the trustees, and save money for all.
