The bicylcists that ride around north Kelelr and Westlake act like they own the road. I'm glad the woman cut them off!

If someone attempts to run over you, you should have the right to drag them out of the car and beat the heck of them. If the bike rider was obeying the law, the car driver should be charged with attempted assault with a motor vehicle. Our society is anti motorcycles and bicycles. The emphases is on buying big cars, burning lots of gas and get out of my way. If I am on the jury, the bike rider gets off.

well, the bicyclist is wrong. i couldnt read the article, but UNLESS the driver did something on purpose, it was an accident and NO ONE, has the right to assault another for making an honest mistake. its no less aggravating, but its still a mistake. i shouldnt have to say it, but apparently everyone around here has forgotten common decency and courtesy. yes, the driver needs to be more careful, and the biker should already know that they are hard to see sometimes. bottom line, someone assaults me and they bought a night in jail.

I AGREE WITH U BBJ. as for bikes in the roadway, the law is pretty clear. 2 bikers can ride side by side as long as there are 2 or more lanes in the same direction. i guess drivers forget that bike are vehicles as defined in the traffic code.

I am a cyclist from California and the cyclist from Texas are arrogant and think they own the road. Unlike California Texas has very few, if any, bike lanes and that is very frustrating, but it does not give the cyclist the right to ride in the middle of the road. I have honked, as a courtesy, upon approach of a cyclist only to be flipped off - dude I was looking out for you and just letting you know that I was coming. Or I honk to have the 3 by side riders move into a single file line and they refuse, that is so wrong and disrespectful. No matter what you do here in Texas you cannot please the cyclists because they think they own the road. Yes, It would be nice if the state had bike lanes in all their roads so it would be safer for cyclist to ride - so I blame the state too! Don't run a cyclist over, but cyclists need to have car courtesy too. So ride safe and get healthy - there are too many fat people in Texas.

All that road and there's STILL not enough room for cars AND bicycles? Really? REALLY?!?
Or is it because all that EGO takes up all the space that would otherwise be more than enough to accommodate cars AND bicycles, both?
Try losing a loved one to road rage - see how that fixes your wagon.

Is it worth your life? No really. I want to know. Is having a car "get in front" of you - is it worth your life?

My brother was beaten to death on the side of Almeda Road in the '80's. You see, this car "cut him off", so my brother flipped-off the driver. The driver slammed on his brakes, and my brother threw something at the other driver.

Next thing you know - both are on the side of the road, fighting. Over what? 9 square feet of asphalt on a public road, that's what!

The other driver had an axe handle, and he brought that axe-handle down SO HARD on my brother's head, that when my brother put up his hand to protect himself, the axe-handle severed his two middle fingers (yeah - the one with the bird-flip on it). The other driver broke my brother's collarbone, some of his ribs, and that big bone in his upper left leg. He hit my brother's face so hard, that his cheekbone collapsed and an eye came out of its socket.

Have you ever seen a father drop to his knees in a faint, at the sight of injuries so severe in his only son that he couldn't bear to look at him? Have you ever seen your mother have a heart attack from the SHEER STRESS of having a son so gravely injured that doctors don't give him but a 10, 20% chance to even LIVE? Have you ever seen a white man's skin, turn the color of an EGGPLANT from the bruising? Do you know what kind of surgery they do, to keep brain swelling down? Have you ever seen a "code blue" called on your family member, your brother? Your OWN BROTHER?? Have you ever endured a criminal trial, during which color photographs of your DEAD loved one is held up and passed around for all to see? Have you ever given a "Victim Impact Statement" to a jury? Have you ever discovered that the guy in the other car was ALREADY on parole for assault with a deadly weapon?

You ever been through these things?

No you haven't. I can tell that you surely haven't.

You know how I know that?

Because if you HAD ever been through a nightmare like that - you'd learn: It DOESN'T MATTER THAT THE OTHER GUY 'GETS IN FRONT' OF YOU, BECAUSE IT'S NOT WORTH YOUR LIFE.

But I'll tell you what - you keep on caring about being "first". You keep on giving a shizz about who "gets in front of you".

Keep it up.

And you, too, will get to experience all the things I've described.

My brother gave his life for eight square feet of asphalt on a public road. He was a FOOL.

And now he's a DEAD fool. And my mother has no son.

You wanna be one, too? You wanna be a DEAD fool, orphan your family, sacrifice your life for a car's length of space on a public road?

Keep it up.

You'll get there. Quicker than you think.

I,am a tipical biker through keller in the summer and fall and spring months. I often go down that side constuction road and then it up north on that road as to were the big church is n the left side. and then I go down to near bear creek park and tourn around to go back home as to were I live off of smithfeild road here in north richland hills. Those people act plum crazy and they stop and slow down just to gulk at you when you are way off on the far side road. Then you got the nutty acting teenagers that drive by always yelling something out stupid and then the cray women that toss there cigerate butts out at you. I know one thing if some-one every stops and starts trouble with me are trys to ran into me by acting stupid I,am going to throw a bottle at there car and at them and I will throw it as hard as I can there is no since in those stupid acting people even being allowed to drive a car....

I am afraid the cyclists have the right away, and they have every right to be on the road with The Excursions, Land Rovers and Suburbans. Next thing you know someone will run a Fiat 500 or SCION off the road, and they will hurt someone.

I,am a tipical biker in keller through the fall, spring and summer months and even sometimes on warm late evenings in the winter. I can tell you one thing the women that drive on these small roomed constuction roads are plum crazy! Some of them act and drive like there on drugs as they just stop in the middle of the road when your not even on the roadway. I,am away far enough on the side to were they can just keep on driving and miss me by 10 feet! they stop like your in there way.......yeaaa kind of stupid. And if that woman would have cutt me off I would have have probly thrown a bottle at her car too. She deserved it you do not cutt a biker off even if he is in the wrong. Many bikers go through as much as the biking trails that they can to get to keller but they don,t go all the way. I go down starnes road and then I go north and pass the krogers on the left side and there is a lowe,s on the other side. The people that drive through those area,s are plum crazy my freind....

It is stupid people like you that act as though a biker is in your way when the biker is on the far side of the road plenty enough room for you to pass. Also explaine to me why the stupid idiot driver,s also try to drive on the biking trails??? And why do they throw things out the window at bikers??? Also there are more fat people in california you stupid clueless idiot. Now get out of the state of texas..

I,am not sure on this I done further research on this and there is to believe that the woman might have done this on pupose. I,am a 12 speed biker myself and I often go through keller alot. I talked to a few people that knew the biker and he was so sure that this woman had done this on pupose. And yes some of these woman are crazy when they get on the road! Now I agree though she should not have done this unless he had actual proof that she did it on pupose. Based on the way they explained it she probly did.

Mr mike this is north richland hills city forum and this topic is about do do heads that can,t respect us 12 speed bikers. I,am one myself, yeaaa and as goonless as you probly are you don,t respect bikers either. My suggestion is for you to wisely kindly, nicely, and politely leave this forum and stay on your own city forum. Also I,am one that is doing battle with heavy fed. He is a do do head... Now goodby.

Now thats great I,am glad you respect bikers. True some are at least of few of the bikers I admit are dumbasses. They ride out in the middle of the street begging and hoping for trouble. But most of us aren,t. Yes I will stay on the heavy feds case as this man is well known for his crazyness..
