Remembering a picnic party at the graveyard with Melissa B. and Janie Pannell. Janie was just a little bitty short person with a big personality. I can still see a picture of her that Francis and Ilene kept out on their table.

A very sweet lady lost her battle with cancer this week. She was not from Keiser but her husband, I believe grew up in Etowah or in that area.

Melissa Pruitt will forever be missed. She was a special person who helped so many other people by sharing what she had gone thru. Her smile was contagious.

Both of my parents are gone, we miss them dearly.. Allen and Joyce Baker. They truly loved living in Keiser, enjoyed the neighbors and the friends they made in Keiser. I attended visitation for Howard Ray and that was so hard. I remember all the times we waved to him as he passed our house on his bike. He would sometimes stop and come inside. If we were not outside he would knock on the door and ask for Sudy (Judy), Sackie(Jackie), and San(Jan). We still call each other this on occasions and love our nicknames from Howard Ray. We miss Ray Bell, he lived across the street from us and Ms. Wanda was like a 2nd Mom. Calvin Seals will always be in our hearts.

Lord forgive me, I had forgotten about Calvin. He was a nice young man. He worked at Puckett's when my Mom worked there. When he passed away, if I remember correctly there was a young lady from Dyess that he graduated with, that died a few day before him. May they both rest in peace.

If memory serves me right, her name was Patsy and they both died in automobile accidents.

Yes, I believe you are right. I remember the girl's ensemble from choir sang at her funeral. I think we all cried during the entire song. I personally didn't know her but knew who she was, I had seen her at school. I believe her niece was killed in a car wreck a few years ago with a group of kids that had left school early. So sad that 2 young lives were taken in the same family from auto accidents. I believe this happened in the spring of 2004.

If you are talking about late 1980 or early 1981 that would be Patsy Daniel. Her Dad was Jack Daniel and had a store outside of Dyess

Patsy Daniel was the girls name, Robin Daniel was her neice that passed away a few years ago along with two other students from Rivercrest. Both Patsy and Robin died in car wrecks. Rae Daniel is the mother of Patsy and grandmother of Robin. So sad that she lost a daughter and grand-daughter in car accidents.

I remember Patsy, She was a senior when I was a sophmore. I thought she was so cool. I remember she wore a tux to her senior prom, I though that was the coolest thing ever, my senior year I wanted to wear a tux like she did but my dad wouldn't let me. He said girls wear dress so I went out and found this skimpy red dress and wore it I wanted to be a little bit of a rebel like she was.
