It's not that we suck its like having a bushel of appler one gets rotten if you don't take it out the rest spoil. Thats whats going on in keeseville. Its not political its the people in this town. Always cutting everyone throat, always in everyone bissiness. Its not everyone just a few bad apples. Instead of the negativity all the time think. By all means nobody and i mean nobody lives in glass house so don't throw stones. For these topix are redicous. Sounds like a bunch of kids not adults. For god sakes people get a life. Got a problem with someone take it up with them not on here grow up

If her agenda is keeping "HER" bar open then why is it for sale. Maybe the businesses on Front St. dont stay open because of the way their ran. Look at how many times the Italian place changed hands. Over the years alot of businesses closed. Most people have a vehicle now, so dont walk to stores anymore. Plattsburgh is easy access. Keeseville will never be a booming town again. As long as we have the basic stores we need in town, pharmacy, hardware, grocery, and gas station downtown we are good. These are hard times for people, and borrowing to start a business is not always the right choice.

Pull back the covers on any town and you're sure to find some unmentionables. Instead we should focus on the positive. The Youth Commission offers many safe activties for our children. Our churches, while not as crowded as they used to be, are full of good people who want to live a decent life. Our schools are full of good teachers who are concerned about the education of our young people. The Elks, the Masons, the Grange all offer something positive to our community. With all of the choices people have these days, it's tough to set aside time to be a member, but if you want to be part of the solution: join us (or the Masons, or the Grange, or the PTO, or the Youth Commission or the Fire Department or the...)

This is funny! Like the ELKS doesn't serve beer! or ElK members don't drink beer..........really funny.........

Where do you get off calling the Elks " elite"? As by you title, you are an ex-resident. whih make me believe that you have no idea what the Elks is all about. That organization is only one of a few that has a good name in town still. The VFW and AMVETS fight between themselves and drink beer while the Elks support a bunch of youth sports, the DRAMA club at AuSable Valley and delivered over 400 dictionaries to 3rd graders in 6 schoosl every year. get your facts right. The Elks is a pillar of the community that we need to support in order to bring Keeseville back to what is can be again.

The biggest reason theres no bussineses coming to our town is geoge moore owns most of keeseville the rents is so high how can a people make a living. Besides the northway does't help anyone coming along rt9 south jump on i87 and go to plattsburgh. You'd have to fill everthing down town to get people back into town. Keeseville a place to come to retire for summer then go south for winter. Its nobodys fault but our own. Everybody need to come together and put this town on the map. Form together and work for it. Stop blaming orginations and politions. We need to get to get some kind of task force and put keeseville back on the map

that type of thinking that we have the basics, what else more could we need is what keep out town the slum of Essex and Clinton counties. the italian restuarant changes hand because the rent is outrageous! Our mayor needs to bring everyone together and have a plan that people will support to develop the downtown. granted I don't see a fine jewelry store our wedding boutique working on front street, but an eyesore like the bottle redemption center sends a bad message

What's funny. When was the last time you saw anybody but the Elks support events in our community. I'm not saying they have drinks there, but at least they are showing a little concern.

I do not agree with Keeseville Sucks.I grew up there and still believe a vast majority of the population are good, hard working,
people. Unfortunately the squeaky wheel gets attention-I mean our small spattering of low life scumbags grab all the attention of
the media.I drove through town the other day and passed some getting arrested down by the Old Barnstead. EVERYONE DRIVING INTO TOWN FROM THE NORTH SAW IT. Unfortunately those few fools are then used to represent the town. What of the few thousand other residents ? Good People. I will always have a fondness for Keeseville.

I personally think Keeseville is a beautiful little town.We have a few areas that need work but for the most part it is great. To all the people who hate it so much leave,go away.We don't need such hate and discontent. We have areas that need some TLC but I think for the most part people in this town care about what thier homes look like,We have a historical little town. One way to beautify our town is to keep your property and homes up.It all plays a role in how people portray our town.Keeseville doesn't suck it's people like you that suck

Your absolutly right. If more people spent more time working to help keesevlle become a better place instead of complaining all the time on here and whining. Keeseville would be a lot better place. Myself i love keeseville. Maybe things will start looking up with new store opens.

Keeseville is certainly not a place i would have chosen myself to live but here i am in a scummy town living with drug dealers and crack heads right down the road. The villa is a sess pool for molesters and druggies. Downtown all you see is young kids standing around either smoking, dealing, kids getting arrested teens and children having sex and babies at young ages. I think keeseville is a breeding ground for scum some people yes are great but take one step downtown and not so great. Downtown is like one big giant bar who needs brookies go downtown and just party. Drug busts every other month with half of them being young teenagers. Yeah it WAS a beautiful place. Hmm not anympre

I have lived in keeseville all my life i used to enjoy being able to walk the streets without being stared at like im the next victim been there done that, also drugs are like really bad in this town i live acrossed the street from where most of it happens the villa yeah everyone thinks its a great place to live my boyfriend moved up here from texas and can't believe how shitty this place is and maybe george more does own most of the time but at least he keeps us alive. we have nothing fun to do around the only place we can go is to the mall but then you have to have a ride and money for gas. I honestly can say i know a lot of good people in this town but for every good person there are two bad people. i can also honestly say i will never raise my children in this nasty ass place.i don't want my kids to be on drugs just because everyone else is doing and i definitely don't want my babies havein babies i totally agree with Keesevillesucksblows this town may have been beautiful but we have some of the highest ratings for teen motherhood and drug dealers em i think i am done now and amen sister to what u said.

All of you whiners and complainers need to relly take a close lok at your selves first. I've lived in the area all of my life and was brought up to respect others for what they believe in and help by assisting in any way I can. I bet that you pass on the negative attitude you have to everyone around you that will listen. There are enough organizations in this community to allow every willing person to participate in some form or manor if they were approached. The Keeseville Volunteer Fire Department, The Elks Lodge, The VFW, AMVETS, K of C, Masonic Lodge, The Grange, any of the Churches in the area, and any of the Local Governments comittees for youth programs, environmental needs, and more than can be mentioned now, all need volunteers who are not afraid to work for abetter community!!! I currently belong to some of these groups or have been participating with for a number of years. Growing up we were not all perfect and most of us have not changed but we are not afraid to try. One group can accomplish more than one person, two or more groups together can accompish more than one, and a whole community together can be nearly if not unstopable!!! Every generation has had it's problems but there's nothing that cannot be turned to the good. Put the energy of complaining into participating and things will change.

Thank you. Happy to hear a teen cares. You will go far in this world. Keep that attitude. Darn streets would have been said better. Stand up. Stand tall. Speak up and speak out. Need to keep it off the streets and especially out of schools. Do not be afraid to speak up. Call narco and give names and information. Please attend your local board meetings and voice your opinions. There are many that will stand by you. Thanks.

I moved to Keeseville almost 2 years ago. I was blown away how great this town is. I moved my family here from out of state and when I was told that I didn't have to buy school supplies because the FSA purchased them for us!!!! I was blown away. I came from a town that had 2 funraisers a month and still cut services. No we are not perfect. Yes there are times when we have more crimes or drugs in this town than we want. And yes we all have to deal with poloticians. But this town is only as good as you want it to be. When I found out how great the FSA was I volunteered. I Volunteer as much as I can to help. Thats how you make it better!!!! if you don't want to help then don't complain about it.

Just to let you know the VFW and the AMVETs in order to get in those organizations you have to have served in the military.
