All because some folks feel the need to have the baddest dog in town.
We were having the same problem with some neighbors and their pits. Took us 5 years to see the last of their vicious dogs.
Glad the little girl wasn't killed.

Why have a dog like that? I hope they pay threw the nose.

Pit Bulls have been banned in Toronto. If you had a pit bull when the ban started you were grandfathered in and allowed to keep your dog, provided it is muzzled at all times when outside.

The other one that comes to mind is Ule Gibbons asking "Ever eat a pine tree? Many parts are edible."

Ha ha ha!

I'm not going to defend a dog that has been raised to be a killer. I just don't understand the need to have a dog that might kill someone. Besides the death of maybe a small child, you are setting yourself up for a nice fat lawsuit and jail time.
People will forever be stupid.

Many wonder why some have vicious dogs, pit bulls do not have to be vicious just by breed, it is by the owners hands that they are. Before my daughter moved there were Dobies two doors down and if they ever scaled that fence I would be greatly concerned for anyone walking by, they just sound vicious, and I know personally that Doberman Pincher are not vicious.. nor are Rotties, it again is how they are raised to be.

I do not know about the US, but in most cases here in Canada, a lot of people have those types of dogs because of illegal activities, crack house, grow op, selling drugs, etc. And some just like the protection of a dog, as here in Canada unfortunately do not have a gun in the house.

People that have these types of dogs are usually lowlife scumbags that are involved in criminal activity. Unfortunatly if someone does win a civil lawsuit they would be lucky to see a dime.

What strikes me about this story, other than the obvious horror of the attack, was that the dog "broke free from it's chains". If you have the need to chain your dog, you don't have a appropriate place to keep a dog or you know that it isn't a safe animal.

I have in the last month, found 2 stray pit bull puppies which I have kept and adopted. While they are strong-willed they are also quite bright and loving. Of course, if you read about a woman killed by her 2 loving pit bulls in North Georgia....you'll know it is me.:/

I hate to see even a breed of domestic animal disappear, but maybe, if you live in the city or a heavily populated area, a pitbull isn't the choice for you. Gas men and electric meter guys are always getting nailed here, in apartment houses unfit for the number of humans they contain, much less several large, vicious dogs.

I've seen pits break the chains and go after 3 people before. Took Rockdale Co. forever to take these dogs. When the county would take one dog, they would get 2 more. Unbelievable.

He and the guy who started the jogging craze were always icons for my arguments about the extreme 'healthy living' lifestyles. Euell looked like hell, died, I think from stomach cancer (? memory may be faulty) the other guy died from a heart attack had clogged arteries if memory serves correctly...

I have read about 250 newspaper articles regarding pitbulls. Most of the time they attack the family's kids, not strangers. The parents would say how sweet the dog was around their kids and they couldn't believe the dog attacked the child. To me they are like a bear or tiger. The problem is that they can be so sweet and then they go ape shit on you.

Healthy living styles, jogging, eating right, etc may not cure diseases, it may aide in fighting them...and also you will have a better chance at fighting if you are healthy, and lifestyle is. That includes healing from an injury or surgery. Easieir done if you have led a healthy lifestyle.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Leo

It's hard to pin down a certain person today because they're being so vague and dithery. Ask them a question and they'll vacillate or be unable to give you a straight answer. You might suspect them of deceitful goings on but it's far more likely that they're simply in a world of their own and can't keep their mind on anything for long. Don't worry, they'll soon be back on planet earth.
