I did not think the book was worth the price of paper it was printed on. I know Robin. I worked with her for over 10 years. I have spoke to her since the book was published. I understandwhy she did not want the book published. I also understand why some wanted it published. Thanks to our freedom and soldiers who fight for our freedoms they have every right to publish the book. Pray and respect both sides. As a human being I don't see how someone's heart could not break for ALL individuals involved. I still did not like he book at all. It seemed it was written by a high school student.

I checked this book out from the Corbin Public Library, I was on a waiting listing for several weeks. I'm very glad i didn't pay the $29.99 list price. As someone posted earlier it was wrote on a fifth grade level. It was large print barely over 100 pages with pictures. I could tell the author wasn't very experienced. I love to read and will read almost anything. This book was a waste of time. As posted earlier it was very one sided. The author claims the information from this book came from researching public records, aka the freedom of information act. So why wasn't R.C. toxicology report listed. That would have confirmed or denied the rumors of R.C's drug involvement in the events that let up to the murder. The author claims R.C was tested for the presence of drugs, but shows nothing to back his asssumption that drugs weren't involved. Also when the author discusses Charlette's dispostion parts are missing. Why wouldn't that have been important to the book considering it's written from Charlette's perspective. I don't see that this book shines light on anything that wasn't already generally known by people in the area. Futhermore what does the numerous pages about charlette's life in Oak Ridge, Florida, or being a custodian for the trailer park she lived in have to do with the murders that happened in Gray Ky. in 1980. I have no problem with Charlette telling her story but using the 1980 Gray Murder as a voice to tell it is deceptive and i don't see how any information written in this book answers, the questions that we as readers have about the events that transpired that night. It was a tragic event but how this book justified, clarified or resolved anything pertaining to the murders themself is a mystery to me. My advice to anyone wanting to read this book is get the waiting list at a local library, you will only be wasting your time and not your money by going that route.

<quoted text>Unfortunately, that is another rumor surronding this case. His drug screening came back negative. To find out the real story, pick up a copy of the book :)
It only stays detectable in the system a short time.

I read the book. And was friends with rc and his sister. And the book is 100 percent correct. Rc spent one summer in Lexington , got out of shape and got beat to death trying to make it at uk. Was there drugs at uk. Who knows. All I've ever herd Rc doing was pot.

Seriously, Barb, who would you be to judge how someone writes? You have fifteen grammatical errors in your twenty-four word sentence.
