some guards are sicko too and need in jail , thats the problem people like you always want to blame the inmate being the liar , all the other inmates see the abuse going on daily , why dont they send undercovers in that place and bust a bunch for assualt ,abuse .
They torment inmates any way they can , they even take their mattresses for up to 32 hours at a time in the hole , they take their underwear ..and this is not things the inmates are lieing about it is the truth .

Apparently nobody see the need to send undercovers. Inmates lie and other inmates back up the lie. That's what you get for not being credible, no credibility.

I landed on this site by accident and this forum. Andi noticed this topic so I clicked it and I have to say "WOW"!
You know it's a jail and it's called a jail for a reason. I'm sorry, but the one's that deserve the respect are the employees not the inmates!! They (inmates) are there for a reason. Not for a tour or a lesson in manners! They (inmates) are there to learn a lesson and be taught not to commit the crime again. But unfortunately, the majority of the inmates are repeaters and life long criminals. Who learn nothing and keep breaking the law. They cheat, lie, steal, kill, and break laws sat in motion to protect the people! They don't deserve respect. They should be made uncomfortable. They don't deserve the comforta of home such as tv time, phone use or recreation! It's jail not the Holiday Inn for heaven's sake. They need to be made as uncomfortable as possible so they will learn their lesson. And each time they break the law, it should be harder and harder for them! They act like wild animals therefore they should be treated as such!
If anyone deserves respect, it's the innocent people that have been affected by the inmates and their actions! The justice system that sees them time after time! The police officers that risk their lives to bring in the low life scum! And the hard working tax payers who have to finance these sorry lowlife human beings who do it again and again! These are the people who deserve the respect not the criminal!

That is true ..Jail is Jail..and if your in jail then you do or should know what to expect..But the thing is..Laurel County Jail is the worst one in Kentucky about how they do things,And I agree when your in jail you shouldn't get special treatment and yes your there to learn a lesson..But that doesn't mean you go to jail and be Mistrested by the workers because that they do not have the right to do,I even understand if inmates screw up and lose privileges that the jail allows them to have, and that again is on the inmate. But Fact is the Laurel County Detention Center is the worst jail in Kentucky and it needs to be recognized Now I have stated before that I have not been incarcerated there , But I have been in jail ..That doesn't make me a "serial killer" "physco" or a crazy person just because im stating my opinion about that jail.I had family that was in that jail for 50 days...and his charge was FTA,which was failure to appear..so there was a no bond til he went to court. And his charge was NON violent..No drug charge...But he sat there all that time over something so simple and yes they treated him back and when it comes to believing a man from Detroit who says Laurel county jail is like no other jail he has ever been in ..I believe what that man says..The nastiness and how employees act to inmates not even do anything...Yes I believe it and I agree with we need to sneak a C.I in there just to see what all goes on!

Where do you find a statistic like that. It's not regulated and there are lots of suppliers. You would have to check the invoices of every jail in the state. Besides Tasers work better.

Its jail, its not supposed to be comfortable. Those people are not on vacation, they are being punished. Maybe they will make better decisions next time.

I hope the state police/and or FBI get to the bottom of this soon. NO ONE should be treated this way. It is ILLEGAL and CRIMINAL!! The entire system needs investigating! From the judges (Holding someone for 50 days on a FOP charge)is WRONG!! To the Jailer who believes he is a medical doctor and prescribes antibiotics which results in creating super bugs within the jail.(READ the article on Jamie Moseley bragging about not taking patients to the hospital and treating skin diseases on his own). What is this man's education level? Did he even attend college? I am outraged that a healthy, beautiful young woman lost her life in a county jail like this. I want those responsible for her death charged! Cortney held a degree in Criminal Justice, if this had happened to a friend of hers she would have investigated this until she got to the bottom of it. I hope she receives the justice she deserves!!

Yes i am sure they will,if there is a next time they will blow your and people like you brains out before they are took back, treat a human like an animal you get just what you ask for, they become animals, but your kind will never care unless it is someone you love who is killed by someone the jail has turned into an animal.

Most likely that would be charges on a dead woman. But no matter what comes of it, and it won't be the jail's fault, people are going to say it was shoved under the rug. BS.

Obviously, the statistics shown in the reduction of MRSA indicates that he is doing something right. His dismissal of antibiotic harm does indicate that he does not understand why MRSA is so drug resistant in the first place. However, Mosley cannot order someone on antibiotics. That's a doctor's order only. So, some doctor is giving the order. Any doctor with an understanding of infectious disease would tell him his use of antibiotics in incorrect but they also tell doctors the same thing because a lot of doctors still just go ahead and give antibiotics for anything and everything.

Well, now there you go. A great statement on the type of people we're dealing with. That's what I think they should do. Anybody tries to take them back, pull out that old pistol or rifle and get a Darwin award. The world will be a better place.

Everyone knows going to jail is no picnic. Don't go to jail, stay the hell out of trouble in the first place. Its that simple. I'm 38 years old and I have never been to jail. Its not hard to do the right thing. If someone gets out of jail and kills someone its not the jails fault. That person had that in them to begin with.

just from what I read from you, you learned your lesson! I bet next time you will be there. But I am sorry, it's still jail and not vacation time at the Hilton! I believe once you go thru those doors you lose ALL rights and privileges. It should be an experience you will never forget so you don't come back. The better the conditions the more likely the criminals are to repeat. The harsher the conditions, less likely you are to commit the crimes! So I sayTHE HARDER THE BETTER! AND IF YOU CAN'T DO THE TIME DON'T DO TE CRIME! Such a true statement!

I am not speaking for myself, but others, you take Ted Bundy for instance ,he never killed till he was locked up for kidnapping, the next one and the next one he killed. All jail does even if they are guilty[which not all are]is make them worse. There has to be a way to reach them besides what They are doing, that's all i'm saying, but believe torturing people straightens them up,you will anyway.

Yeah, the sentence for kidnapping is life. If somebody had not decided to be lenient, Bundy would have never killed. But I guess no matter what anybody does the best thing is to let them run loose and point your finger and tell them not to do that again. I hope they all decide to live in your neighborhood.
