I guess it feels bad to work for H&R Block or whatever little strip mall tax service that needs you once a year, then go to where the real action is and realize that you missed it. So, you decide you can go to Topix as a saving grace because you can get on London Topix and deride all the Hillbillies that you imagine are exactly the same as you left them and then realize that they too have passed you by and it's too late for you. So you make up this wonderful life of dealing with theologians and Poles and you make yourself someone you're not. Living your ideal life over the World Wide Web where nobody knows you. But your type is well knows. You keep living the dream if it helps you because that's what it is a dream.
How amazingly touching. Could you put that on DVD please and send it to me? lmao

I'm surprised that all of a sudden, so many are trying to elude paper. I know paper reduction has been an issue for quite some time, but it's really astonishing more recently how everyone is trying to go paperless. I believe very strongly that we are headed toward a cashless society much sooner than we think. The Bible is really being fulfilled rapidly. It does state we will be known by a number rather than a name. It's almost like that now. If you pay anywhere with cash, they look at you like "what the Hell"! I guess it'll have both it's advantages and disadvantages. But so much centralized control is scarry. We've been leading up to this for a long time. Plus every set of paper they can dispose of, means the loss of X number more jobs. The Post Office will start eliminating Sat. deliveries around August I think.

Post offices will be subcontracted. They will be in storefronts like your UPS places, etc.

Half the people don't need paper for anything except for that roll of tissue in the bathroom. Obama gives them everything they need with their plastic cards.

Let me guess. Obama didn't invent any of them....did he? What we're going to do is, clean up the cash cows and stop you crooks from bleeding our system of revenue! Go figger!

What is you do at the bank? Janitor?
what u talking about unless ur a ceo , president or something big at the bank u probally only make minimun wages .Thank God they are going to raise the minimun wage to 9 dollars a hour and that sure is not much.i would think that most janitors in a decent place to work makes a lot more than a bank employee around here .I know janitors who make
75 thousand a year or more in other states .

I filed early. Short form, efile and direct deposit. It's been right at 21 days. Still haven't received anything. I don't know what the hold up is.

What is early?
Do you have an outstanding debt they might withhold your refund for?
What do you call "short form"?

That's nine days. Last year at this time it was three to five, so they are taking longer.

I don't know if you've received it by now, but you should have gotten it. I think I would call. They will tell you the status.

Your Accountant is correct. Lots of changes going on. One typically looks at 8-21 days on direct deposits. If one gets it sooner, happy day.

Filed both on February 2nd (paper, mailed in...I don't believe in electronic filing of something this important). Received my Kentucky refund check February 19th.
Way to go Commonwealth!! Thanks!

Electronically filed on Feb 11 and both refunds hit the bank by Feb 18. Kentucky was Feb 14. I don't believe in letting the post office and data clerks handle something this important.

No, it isn't the peoples fault. It's a combination of things. The Republican Congress didn't get the lead out until after January and IRS couldn't turn on a dime. If everyone bases their livelihoods on tax refunds (get it or die), then that isn't anyone's fault but their own bad management. And the ones that complain the most, usually are the ones getting all the FREE money. Isn't that amazing...getting upset wanting someone else's money!

Tax refund is what was paid in by A EMPLOYEE! if you call me a moocher I think you need to look in the mirror, one that has never paid in would be one that knows nuthin about it. Again look in the miorror!
I would agree on republicans lack of marbbles THEY picked a city slicker outsourceing job man to run against the worst president we've had in decades and LOST! I would expect the congress to be just as stupid as the rest!
How about a third party, The Confederates of America!!!!!

Gosh, all these great speeches tonight! I'm overwhelmed. Actually, Einstein, no, not all refunds are monies employee's paid in. Do your homework tonight, turn in your paper tomorrow, I'll grade it and see if you pass from 3rd to 4th. How's that? Actually, some refunds are monies paid in by other taxpayers that are forced to support your habits. That's been going on since Reagan !
