Whether or not his employer had the right to take action against him is a matter of contract, which I doubt anyone on here knows the details of. There's a difference between companies, businesses and the government when it comes to the freedom. The Bible is full of contradictions. I would like to see Phil openly debate someone who could challenge him with his own Bible. It is easy to pick out the pieces of scripture that fit our belief and preach it as truth. I do however respect that he isn't backing down from his statements because he really believes what he says. Not all Christians feel like Mr. Robertson, but, their beliefs are still attacked by extremists. I think his belief is extremely one-sided and headstrong, but, this is where the Christian community should take a stand. More and more I see the minority attack Christianity, not always without reason, and now it has finally hit a wall. I think he also made a comment about not personally seeing Blacks in the South complain about their conditions. He was clearly out of touch in that time. I was young during that time in history, but I never saw any oppression toward Blacks either. That's mainly because I wasn't around the places where they were being oppressed. Just because I didn't see it didn't mean it wasn't happening. So maybe he didn't see it, but, he wasn't blind either. Phil is kind of like the grandpa that has an old world view that offends some people who don't know him, but, the people who do know him understands he isn't a bad person. I only occasionally watch the show, but, I do like the fact they are family oriented. Although they openly convey their religious belief they don't preach at the viewer and their ending prayer is for thanks and doesn't attack anyone.
"The Bible is full of contradictions" There are No Contradictions in the Bible: http://www.angelfire.com/mi/dinosaurs/contrad...
So called contradictions cleared up.

"I see the minority attack Christianity, not always without reason"
Without reason? By whose standards? The liberal left who kill, steal, lie and do everything against the good book?

So the Christian community has never done anything to warrant an attack from the minority? They never lie, steal or kill? They certainly never do anything that goes against the "good book!"

This is to that liberal that compare them to Christ. I wonder if all the people that have froze to death or were killed because of the ice storm or all those in the drought areas are wondering what has happened to global warming. This is just a spoof to show that idiot that posted liberals have cured skin cancer, stopped the droughts, and yes even hurricanes how completely stupid they are. Man can and never will influence the weather, sure he dirties the air, scars up the earth but to place themselves on the same level as God in controlling natural disasters or the weather shows the complete ignorance of liberals. All liberals think of is feel good sayings, lies to cover lies and a complete lack of any common sense. I often wonder if liberals were out in nature would they even know how to survive, bet they would not build a fire to stay warm afraid they pollute the air with wood burning. Sad we have people so ignorant in this world today they rather starve then be feed.

To muse is to think. Amuse is no think. Amusements inhibit serious think. Actors, entertainers, ball players, hockey players, journalists, cartoonists, novelists, pornographers, evangelists, casino operators, bankers and their employees are highly rewarded with paper money to keep us from thinking about who gets all the paper first for nothing; and the impossibility of ever paying it all back, and why we must pretend.

Even the veteran snake handler eventually gets bit...the only question seems to be whether or not it will kill him.

Can anyone really believe this was not done on purpose?

Phil and the A&E Network may have done that on purpose for a publicity stunt.
