And back on topic, I live downtown London, and my Time Warner cable has gone to basically a non-working state the last two nights in a row right around 11pm. I don't know what's going on, but I'm calling them this evening.
that is what we are planning to do tonight, and it is roughly the same time frame for us as well.

i'm in Nebraska, and Time Warner here has been flaky, at best.
Especially when i'm on Topix.
And it started on both my pc's at the same time.
Got a new modem on one- no change.
i get error boxes and automatically go off-line, expecially when i click on to a different thread of town.
Just had one completely cleaned of everything bad that had accumulated.
It's gotten worse the last week.
Especially on Explorer, and i got the new version.

we had to switch from explorer to fire fox a while back because explorer had too many problems. But i did speak to time werner earlier and they informed me that "everything looks great" isnt that nice....did i forget to mention that i am only getting half the speed that i am paying for, and they also told me that 1/2 speed is a "really good connection and I should be happy with it"

if anyone answered this already but if you're having problems with dsl,
and its interfering with the phone line.

try making sure that all your lines have a dsl filter from the jack with the phone/internet cords plugged into it.

if one is off it will mess with your phone.

check all your wires and do try restarting the modem.

if you go to the website and mess with things , dont complain about the service.

lol

other than that its more than likeley the VAST number of people in a small ammount of space using the same service at the same time...

leading to heavvy bandwith usage and whatnot.

so... slow speed for everyone.

try looking at less porn =D

I have had my windstream for almost a month and it won,t let my set up an account so I can get to my emails. I didn,t choose windstream, norlight went with them now I am stuck with no emails. I really hate this windstream and am trying to find another carrier. I am on dial-up. I have been on phone with them over an hour and now I can,t even get to a person on the phone to talk to. This is some bussiness.Norlight, where are you. Help!!! My email account is how I stay in touch with family in Maine and England, now I can,t. This company should be asshamed of itasef the way it runs or rather don,t run its bussiness.

I've had Windstream for 3 years now. I have had issues every since I got. We've bought new modems, they've changed out lines. I speak with a representative that tells me there is an open ticket on my account because they can't fix the issue. They have taken on more than they can handle and that came straight from a tech that came to my home. I get different answers every time I speak with them. So they give me $15 off my bill every month due to the issue they cannot resolve. The discount is great but I'd rather have decent Internet service. I work for a company that specializes in technical support so I've tried everything I know. I blame it on the area we are in and Windstream for being greedy and overloading their customer database that they cannot handle.

I have had really good service with them.Maybe two outages in the past two years.One was for less than an hour and another was for almost four hours.The longer one may have been due to weather related issues since there were bad storms happening at the time.
Other than that I have good connection and no drop offs or down time.I have a friend that complains often about hers though.so maybe some areas are better than others it seems.

That is not necessarily true, I live fifteen miles out of London and I could do two loads of laundry that is how slow my Windstream DSL is. Then when I am lucky enough to finally get facebook or something to come up; I get the f&&kin message 'internet not responding"..........whic h totally sucks
