"According to the Bible, not only did Jesus rise from his grave, so did a bunch of dead saints whose reanimated corpses hung out with live people in town. Easily the most spectacular and foul smelling event in human history, wouldn't you say? So how come there isn't any contemporaneous secular evidence that proves the Resurrection ever happened?"

"With that in mind, let me tell you about the worst kind of person to debate religion with - the "know it all." Someone who thinks they're so much smarter than you, in their mind they've already won the debate. A know it all will try to intimidate you with their superior knowledge to avoid the glaring lack of evidence for their faith -- how they've studied all the greatest scholars and philosophers, seen every video on Youtube, and read all the books by "real" historians -

none of which comes remotely close to qualifying as hard evidence validating the Bible. And while they're at it, they'll give you a grand tour of all the excuses and apologies for why there isn't any. And since you're "unqualified" to debate them, they'll often double down their diversion by demanding that YOU answer their questions before they'll answer any more of yours. Let's get something straight, once and for all - it doesn't matter how much you study make believe, it's still make believe. And that's all theology is."

Oh yeah!!!! Logic wins.

His proof is revealed to HIS people through the spirit of Jesus Christ that lives inside his people.
Which is why you have people that is strong enough to die for him.
persecution.com . His Bible code can only be understood by them who trust in his love that there will be a better life free from all the pain, tears, physically ills, and all other ills that shame the flesh. It cannot be understood by those who allow themselves to be outvoted by satan's tactics that come to temp the brain and the flesh.

Unchained by an Angel
(Acts 12:6-7 NIV)
"The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up,'Quick, get up!' he said, and the chains fell off Peter's wrists."

If you have ever been to Rome, you may have visited St. Peter in Chains, a church which claims to display the chains mentioned in this passage. Whether these are Peter's chains I couldn't say. But this church reminds us that Peter really was freed by an angel while under heavy guard in Jerusalem.

Shortly before Peter was arrested, King Herod Agrippa had put the apostle James to death. The people seemed pleased by this execution, so Herod grew bolder and arrested Peter. He handed him over to four squads of soldiers who were to guard him night and day. When the believers in the city heard the disastrous news, they prayed fervently for Peter's release.

One night, while Peter was sleeping, flanked on either side by guards, his angel came and nudged him awake. The next day Peter would have been brought out to the people, presumably for execution. But now the chains literally fell off Peter's wrists, and he walked out of prison and into the city a free man.

It took only one guardian angel to hoodwink four squadsof soldiers who were standing guards. Herod became so infuriated when he heard about Peter's escape that he executed the guards.

Peter, himself, could hardly believe what had happened. He went straight to the house of some believers in the city. What occurred next is one of the more humorous incidents related in the New Testament. When Peter knocked on the door, a maid named Rhoda answered. She was so excited to see him, that she left him standing at the door and ran back to tell the others, who promptly told her she was out of her mind. They had prayed for Peter, but they could not believe that God had really answered their prayers. Meanwhile, the fugitive Peter stood on the steps desperately hoping that someone would let him in.

From Peter's story, we learn that our angels possess far greater power than the powers of evil that threaten us. We also learn that God heard the prayers of his people, despite their little faith. God had a plan for Peter and for his people that would not be subverted by any evil plan of his enemy. He allowed James to suffer a martyr's death. But Peter he spared for another purpose, through the ministry of an angel.

The gospel is in chains in many parts of the world today, and many believers suffer as a result. We need to pray especially for those who are heralds of the Good News, that God will send his angels to open prison doors so that many more people might come to know his mercy and his forgiveness. No matter how strong the opposition, God can send powerful angels who with a touch can overcome all resistance.

Prayer: Lord, I know that many of your people are suffering and being martyred for their faith all over the world. I pray that you will confuse and confound every earthly and spiritual tyrant that suppresses the Good News. Send your angels to empty out the prisons where my brothers and sisters are held and enable them to preach your Word with even greater power, Amen.

I copy this from the book named is An Angel a Day. It's so beautiful, Amen. God sent an angel to rescue Peter. Angels are God's messengers. They are divinely created beings with supernatural powers, and they sometimes take on human appearance in order to talk to people. Angels should not be worshiped, because they are not divine. They are God's servants, just as we are, Amen. Believe that an angel is with us all times. Praise God, Amen. Praise God, sister in Christ, Joanne.

Hundreds of accounts and because they independantly support the Holy Bible you claim with "little research" you were able to debunk, Cambridge, Yale and a prestigious list of other archaelogical and cultural departments.

This is my logic.
I WENT DOWN A BEGGAR - BUT I CAME UP A MILLIONAIRE
1.
I USED TO BE A BEGGAR, I HAD NO SILVER OR GOLD. MY HOME
WAS JUST A CABIN, THESE OLD CLOTHES WERE RAGGED AND OLD.
BUT ONE DAY, I WENT TO AN ALTER AND JESUS MET ME THERE.
HE REACHED DOWN AND TOUCHED ME AND I CAME UP A MILLIONAIRE.
CHO.
I WENT DOWN A BEGGAR, BUT, I CAME UP A MILLIONAIRE; JESUS
GAVE ME A MANSION, OVER ON GOLDEN SQUARE. HE GAVE ME A BEAUTIFUL
ROBE OF WHITE, AND A CROWN OF JEWELS TO WEAR. I WENT DOWN
A BEGGAR, AND I CAME UP A MILLIONAIRE.
2.
NOW YOU, CAN'T TELL BY LOOKING, THAT ANYTHING HAS CHANGED.
MY HOUSE, IS STILL, A CABIN, THESE OLD CLOTHES, THEY STILL
LOOK THE SAME. BUT GOD, HAS PREPARED ME A MANSION, MY TREASURES
ARE UP IN THE SKY. SOMEDAY, I'M, GOING TO CLAIM THEM, WHEN
I MOVE TO MY HOME ON HIGH.

"Hundreds of accounts and because they independantly support the Holy Bible"

The accounts don't support the Bible at all. For example, didn't you reference Josephus? First, it has long been known that the few references made about Jesus in the works of Josephus were inserted much later, probably by Christians who copied them. I remember that one of the insertions referred to Jesus as the "Christ." Why would Josephus, a life-long, devout Jew, acknowledge that Jesus was the Christ? He wouldn't.

Second, Josephus was born in 37 C.E., which means he was not a contemporary of Jesus. He could not have witnessed any of the events attributed to him. At best, he could only repeat what others told him.

Give us references made by contempories, and not decades after the events supposedly occurred. Lots of luck. YOU need to do research and pick up a book occasionally. Read something other than mythology.

You're asking the wrong person.

Why do religious people try to legislate their religion and force their values on the populace? Why do you knock on my door in the morning or approach me on the street, babbling nonsense? Why do you threaten me if I refuse to believe your nonsense? Why do you try to insert your creation myths in science class and impede scientific progress? Why do you bomb abortion clinics and murder abortion doctors? Why do you deny your children medical treatment, choosing to pray for them instead? Why do you tell gay people they cannot have equal rights? Why do you set car bombs and fly planes into buildings? Why do you oppose abortion AND contraception AND sex education? Why do you insist that alcohol can't be sold on Sundays? Why do you oppose the sale of alcohol altogether, where you can get away with it? Etc., etc.

Why can't you mind your own business?
