I loved your story about Levi and camping. I think your story just shows that children enjoy simplicity and we have moved so far from that. Everything you wrote points to children and nature, not letting children sit with technology where they are so passive, but exploring this great outdoors and learning from those experiences. That's what helps little boys and girls become good young men and women. I am also happy that you had/have a good relationship with your step dad. It just proves another point- being a biological father or mother doesn't mean a thing if the other responsibilities are not there.

i remember all those things.
like you said. simple fun.
people do not get together anymore for family manual fun like horseshoes, basketball, tball, croquet, etc.
they cant get their nose out of the computer long enough.
all computer electronic powers ought to be cut off for about 6 hrs in the daytime, so that people can get some excercise.
