How did you come to the conclusion that I hate women? Was it because you sense that I have something against murdering babies?

One of my favorites (there's so many) is where Republican lawmakers (yep, more than one) refused to honor a national organization.

They stated it was a radicalized organization that promotes the homosexual lifestyle. That the group promotes and honors Communists, feminists, and lesbians.

One Republican Representative said 'we must be wise before we use the credibility and respect of the ‘Peoples’ House’(House Of Representatives) to extend legitimacy to a radicalized organization'. Those are his words.

Which organization is this? This dangerous group which is seeking to undercut and disrupt America and our values? To undermine everything we hold so dear?

The Girl Scouts of America. Yep, the Girl Scouts.

I bet on those camping trips they are really practicing covert guerrilla tactics.

I guess I should mention this about the Republican Party claiming the Girl Scouts are a radicalized communist, feminist, and lesbian promoting organization was not a long time ago when the Girl Scouts first formed ..... it was last year, in 2012.

Someone was saying something to the effect that Republican leaders are not attacking women and anything to do with us?

Society needs to establish a zero tolerance for sexual violence. Instead of saying, "don't get raped," which shifts the responsibility onto a potential victim, the message should be "don't rape" and focus on holding perpetrators accountable.

Risk reduction strategies, such as self defense classes, can be part of a larger, comprehensive approach to preventing sexually violent crimes. But, in order to cultivate safer communities, we must create social change.

Such sentiments are part of a wider paradigm shift that many would like to see away from blaming victims for walking down empty streets or wearing short skirts. Instead, discourage sexually aggressive behavior.

That's a good answer. An interesting one. I talked about a similar issue on another thread yesterday. I'll modify it a little for this one.

I'm going to set domestic violence and the Violence Against Women Act aside and respond to the issue of general violence against women and why seeking equal rights is a different issue than protection under laws.

BubbaJesus stated we were seeking equality while seeking protections from men in which we are saying we're equal to. But seeking equality has nothing to do with the need for protections. The need for protections while at the same time seeking equality is due to circumstances we face.

Seeking equality 'is' the only way to gain equality. That's self-explanatory and common sense. Gaining equality changes attitudes and perceptions, particularly since there is no justifiable reason for inequality. And achieving equality therefore reduces or does away with the future need for civil rights protections from violence.

But until that occurs, we are the 'number one' group in America (actually the number one group in the world) for being targeted solely for who we are. Even gays are not targeted as much as we are. Why? Because we get targeted for violence, especially street violence ..... rape, someone seeking power over women through acts of assault, someone wanting to feel superior to another group which is different than them, other reasons it would take a psychologist to explain on why the offender focuses on women. Acts of violence against men are almost always for money reasons (robbery), someone in some way makes another angry and an assault or murder occurs, or the man is just a 'target of opportunity' for some type crime. It's not 'because' they are men. But we are targeted 'because' we are women. Men can walk alone at night in relative safety in most places. Can we? Noppppppppe.

This is why there seems to be conflicting things when there really isn‘t. It's because of being a specific targeted group for acts of violence. It has nothing to do with us proving the right to be equal by being equal.

In the news today it's reporting that last Friday a man sexually assaulted a female co-worker and he was arrested. When police went to the man's home to gather more information the man shot and killed two police officers (he was out on bail). He was killed a little later in a shootout with police.

The real war on women’s health comes in the form of physical, emotional, and psychological scars left over from abortion. Women who undergo an abortion have an 81 percent increase in risk of mental health problems, according to a new study by leading American researcher Dr. Priscilla Coleman of Bowling Green State University. This is born out in the counseling world. In fact according to Safe Haven, a ministry dedicated to serving post-abortion women, Post Abortion Syndrome is the most common disorder they treat. Abortion has also been linked with increased chances of depression, doubling chances of breast cancer, ectopic pregnancies, drug and alcohol abuse, and women who have an abortion are six times more likely to commit suicide.[1]“Legal” has certainly not meant “safe.”
As the saying goes,“once you know, you can’t unknow.” You can’t unsee the ultrasound, and you can’t unfeel the loss of life.
The sanctity of life is written on our hearts, and Americans know it. That’s why pro-life activists are winning with 56 percent of Americans taking a pro-life position and 83 percent seeking harsher restrictions on abortion clinics. And today’s kids are even more pro-life than their parents. Despite intense pressure from pro-abortion lobbyists disguised as teachers and school administrators, 72 percent of teens in America believe abortion is morally wrong. Imagine that. The so-called “Me, Me, Me Generation” caring about the nearly 4,000 unborn lives lost daily. They are the ones who get the late-night text from a friend in crisis, nervous about the chance of pregnancy. This is the generation who has the easiest access to abortion-on-demand, yet they are the ones choosing life more than ever. The pendulum has swung.
Attitudes have changed in large part because the abortion debate has shifted. No longer are we disputing science in the public arena. Medical science is increasingly affirming the pro-life message. The prevalence of prenatal ultrasounds has allowed the general public a window into the womb, and we are no longer arguing about a “blob of tissue.” Even the liberal bastion, Time Magazine, admits that the pro-life “cause has been aided by scientific advances that have complicated American attitudes about abortion.”

A liberal will fight against anyone who oppose their ideas and yet they turn around and play the victim when in fact they are the ones starting fights and making false claims daily. Liberals are hatful and arrogant in nature they never practice what they preach at all. UCLA Study – Democrat Women Look Like Men

Andrew Zarowny

Two UCLA researchers have determined that women who are Republican politicians appear twice as physically feminine than Democrat women politicians. That the more Conservative a woman votes, the more feminine, resulting in what they call the ′Michele Bachmann Effect.′ One of the researchers, Kerri Johnson, believes it may be due to GOP voters demanding that their women candidates not only be more competent than Democrats, but also better looking.

Okay, so you are thinking that here we go again, Andy is poking fun at Liberal Democrat women, calling them ugly. That maybe I should be writing about more substantive topics, like how the latest economic news is extremely bad. Durable sales are way down, the GDP growth rate is anemic, and the Greek stock market has been about as good as ours. Or maybe I should be focused on the latest lies and cover-ups coming from the Barack Obama White House over the terrorist attack on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya? Especially now that we know that the intelligence community figured out in less than 24 hours that the attack was preplanned and had nothing to do with some stupid video.

Or maybe I should be writing about how jacked up the polling data is being reported by the Liberal Media? How this alleged lead in Ohio may be a total lie as voter registration is way down in heavily Democrat precincts. That the so-called gender gap is a myth since even Gallup acknowledges that 60% of married women prefer Mitt Romney over the 33% that like Obama. Or how that many polls are not only skewing the numbers over-sampling Democrats or using turn-out stats from 2008 while only counting 1% of registered voters in Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio as being Independents, who favor Romney by margins of 2 to 1.

Nah! A topic like this, how Democrat women politicians are more manly and ugly than Republican women is far more fun! The UCLA research study that comes to this conclusion, that the more Conservative a female politician, the more feminine is defined as the Michele Bachmann Effect. We of the Republican-Conservative movement have known this all along. GOP babes are hot! Which probably explains why Democrat men are mostly gay or hound dogs, searching for lust like alley cats.

As a US Cynic I represent a very liberal area. It does my paisley decorated heart good to see Jenny defending the cause.

Jenny may I use your example to be read on the US Cynic floor for official entry? There may just be a "Jenny Bill" in the makings.

The never before thought of idea where by getting women into combat roles enmass was pure genius. Then I read here where you also advocate much stronger protections against men for women. It then dawned on me the "Jenny Plan."

it's the conservative authoritarian woman haters club. No different from any other authoritarian dictators around the world. They are working for the advancement of the disenfranchisement of women. The removal of our voting rights is next. That is the way they intend to keep women down. (but that won't work either). Authoritarians are only found within the conservative party.

Right-wing authoritarians want society and social interactions structured in ways that increase uniformity and minimize diversity. In order to achieve that, they tend to be in favour of social control, coercion, and the use of group authority to place constraints on the behaviours of people such as gays and lesbians, political dissidents, ethnic minorities, immigrants, feminists and atheists. These constraints might include restrictions on immigration, limits on free speech and association and laws regulating moral behaviour. It is the willingness to support or take action that leads to increased social uniformity that makes right-wing authoritarianism more than just a personal distaste for difference. Right-wing authoritarianism is characterized by obedience to authority, moral absolutism, racial and ethnic prejudice, and intolerance and punitiveness towards dissidents and deviants. In parenting, right-wing authoritarians value children's obedience, neatness, and good manners.[1]

Right-wing authoritarianism is defined by three attitudinal and behavioral clusters which correlate together:[12][13]

Authoritarian submission — a high degree of submissiveness to the authorities who are perceived to be established and legitimate in the society in which one lives.
Authoritarian aggression — a general aggressiveness directed against deviants, outgroups, and other people that are perceived to be targets according to established authorities.
Conventionalism — a high degree of adherence to the traditions and social norms that are perceived to be endorsed by society and its established authorities, and a belief that others in one's society should also be required to adhere to these norms.[14]

The terminology of authoritarianism, right-wing authoritarianism, and authoritarian personality tend to be used interchangeably by psychologists, though inclusion of the term "personality" may indicate a psychodynamic interpretation consistent with the original formulation of the theory.[citation needed]
