I am a first time unemployment drawer and I had a question about the eligibility review. I just claimed my 6th week of benefits and I didn't know if I needed to go to the office before recieving that check or if I need to appear before claiming more checks. I can't find any information on the website. I would really appreciate any help!

On your card that comes with your check it will tell you when you have to go in for the review.

I was unaware that I needed to keep up with all the employers I contacted, phone numbers, contact person, dates etc and now I have to report all that info for the last 6 weeks... I cant find all the info. Does anyone know if I can just give 6 employers I have contacted at any time or do I have to list contacts for each week???

Gosh, you poor souls. All that to get an amount that the wealthy earn from their big tax breaks in 30 seconds! Amazing isn't it?

In Illinois, it's all online....you sign up online, checks come automatically, you certify for benefits every two weeks and you can do that online. No phones. No visits. You only keep track of job searches to have in your own records in case you're called in for an audit. They have seminars here to teach you how to go online and do job searches, online resumes, etc. They treat you with respect. With job search records here, you may list the same employer you've tried to get a job with more than once as long as it's a contact where you've followed up on original application, phone call or resume.

Good luck. But don't expect a Republican or Tea Party person to approve you being on unemployment. They don't think you desserve it. I do.

Again....You babble cluelessly.

It is all online in KY as well, except for the periodic eligibility reviews which must be done in person in EVERY state including IL.

Did I say it wasn't? Did I not indicate it was HERE I was speaking of? You really don't have to list any sites of this nature because if you even could remotely imagine what I do for a living, you'd swallow that tongue of yours you use for useless things that should be swallowed anyway and spare the town of disease.

Next question Einstein?

Translation...I lied my azz off again and was called to the carpet and proved wrong.

I am embarrassed and angry so I am going to try to pretend I didn't write what everyone can clearly read and that I am of some importance even though you all know that I am government teet sucking ghetto skank with an inflatable husband and no job.

I know that will fail miserable so as a last resort I am going to make a feeble attempt at creating a distraction from my complete idiocy by trying to insult someone who is obviously superior to me in every way because I am a jealous, miserable, fugly old hag who can't stand to have my lies pointed out and corrected with facts!

Dayum it Angel what do you have to make an me look like the bumbling idiot that I am every time I post!

I went for my eligibility review last month (for the first time, I got laid off in dec) & 6 weeks later it's time to do it again, but when I went in the guy told us the next time we can do it online, as well as the letter said after the first time, in person, you can do it online but I don't see a link yet. I dread going back into the office. It's so crowded & unorganized, very depressing.

Does everyone in Kentucky have to do a review after drawing 6 weeks of benefits? I've never heard this before and know people who have never been contacted. Is this something new?

I only had to do the first eligibility review in person and now do them all online. Yes, you should keep a log of who you call every week and be ready to use one of those per week. Seems to me they come around every 4 or 5 weeks, not 6!

I have heard of people drawing if they had good reason1 If one person tells you different at the employment office go over their head. You challenge this on paper if they deny your claim.

Better stick with your own state's info (would that be Ky or Ca?). As for here, I'm not sure what you call "periodic reviews". Some people have had one in 10 yrs. Now ....there's "periodic" fer ya dear!

I've only lived here for 40 years, but you probably know more than I? lol
