The whole thing is a joke. Quotes from 270 to 300 a month. So much for the pay check to pay check people. Deductable of $5000.00 Hospital stays only covered at 50 to 70%

I don't think the government needs to have any business in my health care either. What annoys me the most is that you get taxed for not having insurance. Why does it need to be any of the governments concern that I don't have insurance. It is a scam to make profit off of the American people and also so they can know even more about our lives. They will be able to control who lives and who dies. I really feel America is on the brink of going socialist to communist.

If everybody will get a job and not lay around on their lazy butts making more freakin kids to support. You will have insurance. It should be if you don't work you don't eat. Healthcare is a earned priviledge not a right
Obamacare is nothing but a tax on working people.

This shows the intelligence of an Obama supporter. Typical of those who put him in office.

The people who don't want to pay for insurance are the same ones who never had it before and run up huge hospital/doctor bills and never pay them. So we end up paying them anyway. What is the difference?

No I haven't signed up and don't intend to.
I would probably qualify to pay little or no premium based on my income, but I don't want to be dependent on govt.

Yeah it's socialist. But you're right it's nobody's business whether or not you have insurance as long as you don't run to the hospital or doctor if something goes wrong with you unless you have barrels of money to pay. Otherwise, guess who picks up the bill.

This is easily solvable. Don't penalize anybody, just don't allow them treatment if they have no insurance or money up front. Then the problem takes care of itself.

Or we could just take the step that will eventually be taken and go to full socialized medicine. The same people still pay but at least if you've paid most of your life then can't, you don't get screwed.

Two problems there. Not enough jobs is the first. The second is you have a whole segment of the population that thought high school was a joke and now don't even have rudimentary skills. No high school diploma when a college degree is about minimum now. No job for them.

You don't have to get it or pay the fine if you don't get a tax refund or you just choose to pay it. If you get a refund, then they'll just take it. It ought to fun listening to the EIC crowd cry. On second thought they won't, they just get a number from the preparer sitting in front of them and that's okay. Tax services with rapid refunds have been ripping them for years with no repercussions. When you get free money, it doesn't matter if somebody takes a little.

It is cheaper for some people, but not many. Most will pay about double for the same policy if it's a private policy that is not grandfathered in. Some, but not all of that is just gouging. Obamacare demands that insurance cover things that your policy may not now cover, so that will cost more. Obamacare allows insurance companies to cancel your private policy if you did not get it sometime around March 2010 or earlier. They then offer to replace that with a policy Obama compliant which means more premium. If you are on the income line that you get credits, then the premiums will be cheaper. Bear in mind, the law was designed to make everyone have insurance, not make it cheaper and insurance took some big jumps when it was first announced.

The real problem are the deductibles. They're high. Most people can't afford to pay them and won't. Doctors and hospitals will rack up unpaid bills.

So a lot of the working people won't be able to get the care that they really need because of the sky high deductibles.
We can pay for other peoples medical care, but can't get any help for us when needed.

I feel sick every time I look at Obama's face. It's even worse when he speaks. He has done so much harm to our nation and the principles it was founded on. This insurance is only one example of how he wishes our country to become socialists. He has lied about the four Americans killed in the bombing and in other instances. I don't know if we can survive another four years. He has been so negligent with the handling of Obamacare. So much money has been wasted. What happens to all these people whose insurance has been canceled. They could be wiped out financially if there is an unexpected hospital stay or a heart attack. I don't like it one little bit that in KY 238,000 more people were signed up for Medicaid so so many wouldn't fall into the Obamacare funds. I saw our Gov. speaking with a couple standing beside him with four children. They thought it was wonderful because they couldn't afford insurance for her and the 4 kids. Her husband works but she doesn't because she doesn't want to have someone else raising her children. They were young. Let her get off her butt and work to support her children. I chose not to have more than 2 children because we both work and probably couldn't give more than two what is needed to rear them 'til they complete college. I am sick and tired of providing for those who are breeding machines with no responsibility. Our nation is in a heap of trouble.
