Anyone who chooses to use or manufacture drugs deserves anything the law can give them and more. They not only destroy themselves but everyone around them. Any children they may have after a life of drugs will be damaged genetically and never have a normal life that they could have had if their parents had made a better choice. Then there are the people they sell drugs to, their lives will be destroyed, also. I am sorry that your Dad made poor choices, but I am glad that he has been put where he can't destroy more people with his nasty habits. If you know more people who have received a lesser sentence, don't worry their free time will be limited because once they use drugs it is almost impossible to stop, and there are people who will turn them in as soon as they resume their habits! Drugs not only kill the user but they destroy the lives of the people around them. You should know, just look around at your neighborhood! Young people stealing from their parents and grandparents, breaking and entering homes of friends, failing at school, can't work, no future for them of a productive manner.

Judy yes i do agree with some of what you said but noone is perfect and yes people make mistakes. I will never under no circumstances agree with the time my dad got dont get me wrong yes i do believe he should get time but not 28 years. you say you are glad that my dad cant destroy anyone else with his nasty habits noone makes people do drugs they do them because they want to my dad would never force anyone to do what they didnt want to. I thank god that my dad is in jail and he is straight he has gained 40 pounds and looks great he is clean and he is going to do rehab and take drug test so i believe if you really want to stop yes you can. please pray for me and my dad and will do the same for you and your family i will pray that noone in your family will ever try this aweful drug called meth!!!

Darrell Eversole is my dad also. I love my daddy more than anything in this world, and i do agree that he needs help. What he didn't need is 28 years in prison. yes, i do agree that he needs some jail time, but 28 years is so unfair. People that commits murder does not even get that long. I am 17 years old. By the time my dad get's out, i will be about 45 years old. My dad has 3 daughters and 2 sons. We need our daddy more now than anytime. Meth is such an awful drug, i wished that i could destroy it forever. And to Judy that made that comment, you would never understand how me and my sister feels until you have walked in our shoes. Yes i used to think the same thing that you did, but when that awful drug destroyes your family, you have a totally different outlook. Just pray for our family, that God will one day out us back together.

I understand your love of your dad and I feel so bad right now that I wish I can exterminate the drug to but thats practically impossible. I dont like it when you have a worry in your life that you can help but no matter what you do you just can't do it. It just stays there forever and ever. I hope you are doing well and I'll pray for your dad and your familly I promise ok.

i really feel for the family, but i do understand that he needs punishment for his actions. I had someone very close to me for a long time addicted to anything he could get his hands on. He went from a god sent blessing to pure hell. Your daddy will be a new man when you meet again, hold on and be there waiting to start your new life as a family once again. God bless you all and i will pray for you daily.

my boyfriend was indicted by the feds in march. there was about 10 people indicted in all, needless to say ,they all are out except my boyfriend. every lawyer i've talked to says 20yrs to life. i'm so sorry about your dad. & yes the laws are so screwed up , seems like your better off killen someone (or at least you'd get less time). & with the boss the feds have(bush) it will only get worse. any advice for me? oh forgot to mention he was indicted for conspiracy

That's some bullsh*t huh? My fiance got busted wit some meth and a gun was already on probation. You can try to help a person all you want girl but they got to want to help themselves. Meth gets you nothing but trouble. Peoples get at me for coz all my friends are black and me white. used to have white friends, but crack took them away and i dont want to be friends wit peoples who keep gettin worse & worse on sh*t that is just takin em that 1 step closer to death. So I feel ya pain on this. Fiance got 5 years for havin a gun he wouldnt have had if he hadnt kept doin dat sh*t and he wouldnt have gotten another 5 for failing the drug test. if the sh*t's not killing them it's landing them in jail and worse.

Kelly i understand what you are saying,no i do not think it is right for a man to get 28years-to life in prison for a drug, and i also dont think it is right for a murderer to only get a few years and not life, but who am i to judge anyone, all i know is that the system is so messed up and your father does not deserve his sentence he has got.
I know a man that has killed two people and at the time i was 5 years old and i am now 18,and guess what? he is now out of jail roaming the streets doing everything in the world that could possibly be wrong but i think theses people are against the law if you know what i mean. But i pray for u and yours and i wish u the best!!!

Hey 28 years is crazy. My uncle was killed by a teenager and he was out in 6 years. The only people to blame for the drug problem in London is the people of London. This has been an problem for decadees now, and guess what, it won't change. Too much money for everyone involved, I am sure many people knew what he was doing, but they turned a blind eye. We have a problem here, it will take more than the local police to clean this thing up that is for sure.
