maybe they just think it looks cool? Why does everything always have to have an ulterior motive? Boredom of a small town i suppose. Grow some balls and go ask them instead of starting crap on here.

We have a green porch light on our front porch because it was an Xmas decoration last year and we just haven't taken it down yet. It doesn't necessarily mean anything bad (:

I know in the summer yellow lights attract far less bugs. I don't know if green lights are like that or not. Could just be that the people there think green lights look cool on their house.

Sounds like a good way to help people to find your house after dark ..... look for the house with the green light.

I have the same question too. There are a few houses in different neighborhoods around me that have a green light bulb on at night too. Some are near the door & some are in post lights by the sidewalk or driveway. I find it too random that they just happen to choose a green light to go in there. If it marks a "safe zone" for kids in trouble or something like that I'd buy in. I doubt its anything illegal cause once the word gets out, it'd be pretty easy for everyone & the police to take notice.

OHH K' Just tell me where this house is & I'll knock or ring their bell & ask them for you. Then come back here & tell you. lol Don't think I wouldn't either, cause I'd do it in a heart beat..

Well we have a green porch light and to be completely honest...it holds no meaning at all. My boyfriend just thought, "hey, I am gonna put in a green light bulb" No big deal, no hidden message, and please no runaways show up at our door, we got enough unruly kids 'round here as it is, lol.

Okay, HERE'S a possible suggestion for the prideful "how the cr*p should I know" bunch (light tone) It means someone's there you can spank/paddle/strap/cane (reform-school style) or you can go to get spanked/paddled/strapped/caned nude by a female disciplinarian (reform-school style)

We have several bright colored porch lights we switch out. The only reason being is it makes stupid people suspicious about why we do it.
O.. and it looks cool and makes or house stand out.

Green light works better to keep bugs away vs yellow light. Try it and see

A red light means it's a whore house ...recall [the red light district ] As far as it being [low income inner city] A green light thats on could be [flagging] to i.d. sumthing on that block . Much like when a P.D. car comes dwn a block .You may see a flock of pigions take off . That is a tactic used by look outs to signal local dealers that a unit is making its way dwn the block . The green light means something im sure . I would take note as to when its on and pay @ to incoming traffic and how often. Hope this helps .
