...... or President or democrats.
"National Rifle Association head Wayne LaPierre on Sunday ripped the national media for not reporting that Chicago, suffering from an epidemic of gun violence, ranks “dead last” in enforcement of federal gun laws.
“Let me hold up a mirror right now to the whole national news media and the White House,” LaPierre said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Citing new 2012 data from Syracuse University, LaPierre said that out of 90 jurisdictions, Chicago ranks last.
“Why doesn’t NBC News start with ‘shocking news on Chicago, of all the jurisdictions in the country, Chicago is dead last in the enforcement of federal gun laws’?” he demanded.“Why don’t the national press corps, when they’re sitting down there with Jay Carney and the president and the vice president, why don’t they say,‘Why is Chicago dead last in enforcement of the gun laws against gangs with guns, felons with guns, drugs dealers with guns?’”
NBC host David Gregory didn’t respond to LaPierre’s charge, instead asking only whether he and the NRA “support those as felonies.”
“Absolutely and we want them taken off the street,” LaPierre said.“If you’re the president and the vice president and the attorney general and your job is to enforce these laws against the — I’m talking about drug dealers, gangs and felons that are walking around with guns in the street — and you don’t do it, you bear some responsibility.”

What the blaze doesn't tell you...
Since Gun Control laws went into effect for the city of Chicago, Gun violence has dropped by almost 50%.
over 9 hundred murders in 1984 and only about 500 murders in 2012
The notion that "more guns" will equal decreased gun violance is antiquated and down right moronic.
Brainwashing the simpled minded.
The NRA's primary job is to sell guns, and with the help of FOXNEWS and extremist like Glenn Beck all they have accomplished is a gun and ammo price increase

How low would it be if Chicago had enforced existing gun laws. Obammies little gangbanger Ho wouldn't have been killed in the park with her homies.
How many lives has their lack of enforcement cost the citizens they are paid to protect. Chicago 90th out of 90. Says it all.

More like Chicago can't spare the voting block these gangbangers are in. Democrat, obammy supporters, black, Hispanic gang members.
Can't arrest their constituency. "Either you is or you ain't my voters."

You are correct, hehe, that the NRA is a lobbyist group whose main focus is to protect the legal sale and owning of firearms by law abiding citizens. They openly acknowledged that. The same can be said for the Brady lobbying group whose main focus is to remove the legal sale and owning of firearms by law abiding citizen.
However, no amount of statistics (honest or doctored) can remove the fact that the Supreme Court if the Untied States has already ruled on this fact multiple times. On three separate cases (I'll list them if you'd like), the Supreme Court ruled that protection of one's person, property and family is not the responsibility of law enforcement, rather they are responsible for protecting the community as a whole. The Court ruled that said personal protection is the responsibility of the individual. In addition in McDonald v Chicago, the Court ruled that to be able to protect one's self, family and property, it is the right of every law abiding citizen to be able to purchase and own firearms.
Now I understand that the idea of law abiding citizens owning firearms may unnerve you, hehe, but it is just as much a valid right as the right to free speech. So even if you agreed personally with Chicago's old gun ban, it was unconstitutional, end of statement.
I personally believe it would be better for everyone, if the City, State and Federal Governments would concentrate on enforcing the laws we have, than spending time and money on making new and more restrictive laws.
