My neighbor got stuck in his yard couple weeks ago, ground was saturated with all the rain...he called a wrecker out, they pulled him out. Cost him 65.00...u might wanna call a wrecker and hope next time the road dept does a little better job. A lesson learned for him and you.

This is a mess. I needed to go to square dance lessons. And now I'm in the ditch. What have the road people been doing all day. They knew the ice was comin. We never had this problem in Florida.

if he had called the road dept we would have pulled him out for nothing. it may have taken us a few days but sooner or later we would have gotten it done. maybe

Where are you freaks at? It's like Antarctica out here. Just got off work. Can't get home. Did Road department take the day off? Let me guess, one of those. It's ice. Nothing we can do. It just freezes back ...... Bullcrap. We need a road department.
Rockcastle judge halted work in his county along with state highway crews because of numerous accidents by road department. Said it became too dangerous after accidents all day and people who don't understand this particular ice storm should just sit at home. Chill out.

Hey if you don't like how I manage my crew go salt the roads yourself. Drivers should know rubber and ice don't mix and yet they insist on getting on the road.

America is full of self-centered, ego-driven, people who think government should wait on them hand and foot. We had an Ice Storm yesterday folks. The road departments did and are doing the best they can. Common sense dictates that when you have a solid sheet of ice covering roadways, then you shouldn't be out on the roads. Give the road crews time to work on the miles and miles of roadways in our area, and they'll soon have you back on the roads.

your the only person that sounds like they have any common sense, and for this i will vote for you next election. we could really do a better job if jeff would hire windell back. wendell didn't smoke and only ate beans about every other week, oh yeah i still need that raise.

Salt isn't magic, if its freezing temperatures salt will do next to nothing. Salt only helps melt snow and ice faster then it normally would, if its freezing weather salt will not work. It is simple science.

Also a heavy 4wheel truck on ice is just as bad if not worse then a 2 wheel drive car.

Why don't you get your ass out and go to work for the highway department? Freeze your butt off and risk your life everyday and night when there is ice on the road? You get it all cleared up then you can make it to Wal-Mart and the drug store, you unappreciative sack of crap!!! I live on a side road, and they haven't been here yet, but guess what? When the Sheriff and the State Police tell people to stay home unless of an emergency, I'm smart enough to listen. Were you having a heart attack or did you fall and break a hip? I doubt it, and like someone else stated, we knew this was coming so you had plenty of time to go get your milk, bread, cigarettes and beer! So,shut the hell up! These guys are doing the best they can!!!! Do us all a favor and just leave Laurel county! It will be easier for you, and great for the rest of us!!!
