I am willing to bet anyone or anything 100 dollars , that you will not walk down that gravel road by yourself for 1 mile at devils creek with nothing but a camera , no weapons , just walk down it alone , and lets see what ya come up with .and i promise there will be no one playing tricks on ya , what ya see is all natural .

North Florence St in North Corbin, look it up on the Kentucky's Haunted Places, it has each county listed in Kentucky and the places listed!!! I heard back in the 40's a family was murdered in an old house on that rd, the house sat really close to the road, it's been gone for years. It used to be in the old swampy looking area right before you get to the railroad crossing that takes you out by the heating and air place.

As of places in London,Ky I have been heard stories about tunnel #8 in East Bernstadt. I have heard while goin through and coming to the end of the the tunnel it gets really foggy, and at the end of the tunnel you will see a boy hangin from the tunnel. It was said that he had hung hisself there years ago. It is illegal to be down there, but if you go and a train comes through try to get as far away from it as possible, and dont let them see you because they are allowed to call it in!!! Probably best to take a 4 wheeler,or 4 wheel drive vehicle down there cause there is big mud holes in the tunnel!!!!

In Pulaski County along US 90 (just before you get to the water falls) there's the ghost bride. People claim they have seen her walking down the hill since before I was born.

I've backpacked and camped all along the moonbow trail; dog slaughter, devils creek and never seen or heard anything but night critters. I did see a lot of evidence of what looked like some wild parties had gone on down there though, get enough hooch in you and you can see and hear all sorts of things...just sayin.

wildcat trail rd road after the tourist the cemetary take that road ..go past the lookout spot is about a mile and one tenth from the monument at start of the road way go to your right off the road and set and wait..just after the sun has set but before fully dark..soldiers play hide ans seek in the trees can see them clearas day but you know that they are not of our time or world..they fight the battle over and over of the civil war..if you are close enough you can see thru land i bow hunt there..i dont live there though..years ago i thought about it..then i kept seeing the soldiers..kept putting it off now im too old to be in woods ..might sell some acres about 50..just make sure you have way back out after dark..would be bad if they dont like you...they got used to me..but the hair on back of your neck stands up with the chill..of it all..i think its historical time much sudden death and all..but really an experiance when you see them.

Someone's internet post from 1998 .....

I hope it is OK, to post this here, it could have something to do with our Ancestors.
Has anyone heard of the story of a Bride waiting for her Groom at The Cumberland Fall's in Whitley County??? While the bride was waiting for her groom, as he was late & driving fast he crashed his vehicle & died as the result of the accident. The bride received word of his death, she was so distraught (sp?), that she jumped to her death at Lover's Leap.
I have talked to a Park Ranger at The Fall's, that has seen (in 1974 with 2 other Ranger's) her ghost "walking" the road between the Fall's & the Dupont Lodge. He said she had a beautiful wedding gown on with lot's of lace, had long brown hair, & tears streaming down her face. She looked straight into his eyes with a "dead stare". There have been many other's that has seen her ghost "walking" the road.
Has anyone heard of this story???? Maybe it is someone that we are looking for.
Later, Sandra :-)

Also near the end of the book 'Ghosthunting Kentucky' it mentions Corbin and the ghost bride.

A second version of the story is in the link below but the most popular and oldest version is where a bride was waiting for her groom to show up at the lodge where they were going to be married. He was late and began driving too fast and crashed his car. He was killed in the accident. The bride received the message of his death his death and become so upset she jumped to her death at Lover's Leap. She now haunts the road leading down to the waterfalls. She's still seen wearing her old-fashion laced wedding dress.

Here's the link to the second version.
