Ice hockey at it's best. The Blackhawks sent L.A. packing tonight and headed toward the championship!

I do have to congratulate L.A. on a job well done. They were extremely stiff competition to our Chicago guys taking it into 2 overtimes.

Lots of fireworks going off in Chicago following the game! Why not...it's the sports capitol of the nation!

It's going to be a tough championship. Boston has a good team or they wouldn't be in the position they are. But of course, I'm going to have to give it to Chicago. It would be totally unpatriotic for me not to.

P.S. I do always root for the Wildcats in college basketball, although I'm not much of a basketball fan except the professionals when MJ, Pippin and the Rodman were the trio champions. I love da Bears, da White Sox and....da Blackhawks!

I'll give it to the Hawks, they have a lot of offensive talent, and they have Cups coming to them in the future if they can afford to keep this team together. In my opinion they made mistakes trading Byfuglien and Niemi. Boston right now has the better overall team, at least on paper, but it's the Cup, and anything can happen. At least that's what a Yankee living in Ky. during the playoffs thinks. Unfortunately the Rangers are out.

A Yankee living in Ky. Lord give me strength...and they haven't run you out of town yet? lol Yes, Boston is going to be some stiff competition. And yes, that's what happens when we have winning teams. Players get too expensive and they're traded. Look what happened to the White Sox. They won the championship...had an awesome team and I do mean team in every sense of the word, but after the championship (and of course Ozzie's ego), they fell completely apart.

I wouldn't think there was enough people left in Chicago to form a team.

Yes. I'm sticking with Boston, but it could take more than five.

When you see multiple OT's in a game, you know you're watching a good game. Everyone here was on the edge of the couch! ha Either team who made the last score, it would have been desserved in this case. That's when a ticket is worth buying. Sorry you had to sit up so late. That's tough and I know you're an hour ahead of us, so it was worse for you.

OT as a Cup game should be. It's going to be a great series. You have to love this game, and the fact it's two Original 6 teams only makes it better.

You're so right and precisely what my husband said tonight. We got the best of the best going after each other. Both teams are winners already.

I have to give it to Boston. They dominated the puck.

"Seven people were killed and at least 30 others were shot in violence that plagued Chicago over Father's Day weekend.

Six of the fatalities and 11 other shootings occurred overnight Saturday leading into Father's Day, including the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy.

On the Southwest Side, five people were shot, one fatally, in two shootings in the Little Village neighborhood."

Boston did a great job again tonight. Our Hawks better start squawking quickly here, or, bend over.I do think Boston has a better Goalie.

Game 5 - Chicago energy explodes ! Go Hawks! Lots of fireworks going off in Chicago.

Boston again played a good game, but made alot of mistakes. In tonight's game, the Hawk's energy level, puck domination, speed and their ability to ward off Boston's fists, won the game.

Boston lost a crucial player, then opened up the goal in stage 3 using their goalie on the ice...big mistake.

But, rest assured Boston will retaliate on Monday nite with more aggression than we've seen in these previous 5, there's going to be some fist fights, but I think if the Hawks can remain cool, maintain the same energy level as in Game 5, we'll take it. If not, we'll go to 7 and hopefully take it then. Boston will need to control those tempers, because the bigger they are, the harder they fall...which they learned tonight. The Hawks will overtake them with patience and energy.
