I am looking for a living room set and some pieces for my bedroom (storage pieces only). However, I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for it. Can anyone recommend a good place to get quality furniture for a reasonable price?

Isn't that the tobacco place by Arby's? Or am I thinking of something else? Is their stuff upholstered or wood type furniture?

Biglots or Stevie & Thelmas. Both very nice places, s&t's you can either pay for up front or they set your payments at a reasonable amount, just depends on what your getting.

You can finance at jaimes furniture too. I got a whole bedroom suite financed with payments under 90 a month and thats with a pillow top mattress. Ashleys furniture at that. Go check them out.

Jerry's furniture is going out of business, They are selling their furniture for up to 70% off. We've always liked Jerry's and hate to see them close.

Well the search is still on. I checked out Big Lots, Jerry's and Hamlin & Kersey yesterday. Big Lots didn't have anything I liked. Jerry's is crazy on their prices. They brought in some kind of close-out company. I heard a customer say the prices were better before they announced the going out of business sale. And Hamlin & Kersey had beautiful stuff, but they wouldn't sell pieces only sets (which I don't need). Today's adventure will be the Mohican. Who would have thought it would be this difficult to find furniture??

BTW, thanks to everyone for your suggestions!

I hadn't been in since they started their "sale". Thanks for letting me know. Good luck on your furniture search.

Well, Just wanted to let everyone know I stopped in at the Mohican Friday afternoon. They have some really pretty items with great prices. Denise is very helpful. They sold everything they had on display. She is checking with her salesman about matching my bed (discontinued) to some new pieces. I am very impressed with that.

My best experiences so far has been with the Mohican and Mathews Furniture. I hope this helps anyone who is in the same boat looking for some new stuff.

Stevie and Thelma's in London and Mathews both rock! They have good prices and are very friendly! Jerry's on the other hand marked their prices up just to get the 70% off and probably won't even go anywhere. That place is high and ridiculous!$850 for a recliner at 70% off.... Please!! I just got a nice living room suit from Stevie and Thelma's very cheap! I will definitely do business with them again!
