Maybe Obama granted General Dynamics a waiver too?

These jobs are straight from Mitch and his position on the Defense Com.

If Obama had any hand in this, they would be in a strong union state. Not a state where the unions keep inviting him to inspect a deep shaft mine.

Tis will be post will be gone in a minute but here it is:

http://www.wkyt.com/home/headlines/Company-br...

"To encourage the investment and job creation in London and Winchester, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved Vangent, which was acquired by General Dynamics in October 2011, for tax incentives up to $11.5 million through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the term of the agreement through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets."

!!!!!!!!!What is wage assessment?!!!!!!!!!

http://www.lrc.ky.gov/KRS/154-32/090.PDF

"If an economic development project is located in an enhanced incentive county, the
approved company or, with the authority's consent, an affiliate of the approved
company may require that each employee subject to the tax imposed by KRS
141.020, whose job is determined by the authority to be created as a result of the
economic development project, as a condition of employment, agree to an
assessment of up to five percent (5%) of taxable wages."

Does this seriously mean that EMPLOYEES will get a 5% pay cut off the top that goes to the company!?!

Evidently call centers locate here because they have to pay us only slightly more than agents in foreign centers.

Employees pay this tax because the state put up the incentive money which allowed the workers to have their jobs.

It's a political thing, kind of like with the state's toll roads. We paid for Lexington's and Louisville's highways and expressways, which helped bring jobs to those cities, but we've had to pay for our own roads and now jobs.

Blame who you want.

With 9.9% claimed locally, I'm guessing its closer to 19.8% unemployment in reality, and even a temp job is a job.

I can make a firm pledge, under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes. Obama

Nothing to worry about around here...

Seems to me like with all the "right to work" fuss about having to pay union dues going on all across this country people would be just a little more upset at having to kick back a percentage of their wages to the company in order to get or keep a job.

It's just another example of Corporate America playing hard as-. If everyone started living as the Indians did, strictly off Mother Earth, all these bas-ards then could rot. I could even tolerate the stinch of the rotting to see it happen.
