I prefer a country boy. I couldn't imagine holding hands with a man that had softer hands than me. haha. My man is a country boy, with rough callused hands & thats the way I prefer it. Plus, country boys know how to treat a lady the right way. & If you're with a country boy, you don't have to worry about it if you get a flat tire. If you're with a city boy, the only thing they'd know how to do if your car tore up is to dial a tow truck. hahaha.

I apologize that I said "country boy" instead of "country man" it just has a better ring to it, if you ask me. But I DID clearly state that, & I quote, "my MAN is a country boy".. so I obviously have a MAN and not a boy. I am a REAL WOMAN and I have a REAL MAN. All the qualities that I attribute to "country boys" are qualities that MY MAN has.

Maybe you're looking for him too hard or are looking in the wrong places. I know from experience that the "right man" CAN come along when you're NOT searching for him. I hope you find a man like my husband one day. But, a little advice, don't be so bitter hun.. he could come passing by when you least expect it & if you're not approachable, how will you ever find out?

But it was a simple question, would you rather have a MAN who is from the COUNTRY or the CITY?! & By "COUNTRY" I mean a man who hunts, fishes, works hard, knows how to shoot a gun, a handyman who can do anything himself rather than calling and paying someone to do it for him. A man who knows how to fix a car, and isn't worried about fixing his hair. A MAN who isn't worried about how tan he is, yet, in the summer time he's got a better, more handsome tan (from working hard out in the sun) in comparison to the city boys who rush to the salons (every day/week for their orange fake tan).

& By "COUNTRY" I am referring to a MAN who has rough, tough, hard working hands to protect and please you. A man who knows how to treat a woman, how to take care of and protect her, how to provide for and spoil her. A man who wants to forever be your lover AND your best friend. A man who ALWAYS repects him woman & would never EVEN consider being unfaithful. A man that holds the 2 most important women (people) in his life, closest to his heart.. his mom and his wife. A man that provides his woman with a good time on a daily basis with the SMALLEST of events; whether its going out on the boat at the lake, grilling out around the pool, or fourwheeling (with a sled attached & his lady aboard) through the snow.

THAT is my MAN.. my "country boy".. my husband.. my best friend.. my lover.. my playmate.. my partner for life.

Now, I want other's opinions, do you prefer a country or city MAN?!

Well, I'm from the city but grew up in the country most of my life. I've dated more city boys than country boys. But, I like things about both. So it's hard for me to say. But, if u could give a city boy the ability to do just about anything u need done in an emergency situation, and the ability to be able to take care of his family with just about nothing, then give me a city boy. I like the looks and hygiene, and the mannerism of a city boy, but I lIke the manliness and the security of a country boy. I guess the saying is true.... U can't have ur cake and eat it too.

Well I've dated both. Country boys are not afraid to do work, but NEITHER is my city boy! When I dated a country boy (more than one) they were not as educated, they belittled me, and didn't care how I was treated. Now, not all may be this way, but with my experience they were.

Now, a city boy. I've been with several. They are more educated, can debate a conversation, respectful, intelligent, well mannered. I will say for me personally, I will never go back to a country boy because I've been spoiled by the kindness of a city boy. They can keep up with my conversation as well where as some country boys had no clue about what to say with some of today's current events.

Amen to that, sister...I used to feel that I did not like city men, and would always have a country man, but my fiance is originally from Illinois, and I've never had anyone be so kind. He is also a HARD WORKER. He has so much respect he shows towards me that I could never find before in a country man.

Sounds like you weren't with any REAL country boys, sounds like you were with some backwood rednecks. A REAL country boy, knows how to treat and respect a lady. My man does. It all depends on the guy I guess, but overall I prefer a REAL country boy. If you could find you one of those - you'd throw your city boys to the curve in 2 seconds.

What "city" type of man are we talking about here? The "city" of Corbin? lol Unless they moved in from a REAL city then they're ALL country 'round here. I will give you that there are some that are more country than others. The more country ones are from the hills & hollers 'round these parts. My man was born & raised in a holler, however, he has a college education & is extremely intelligent so I think I may have the best of both worlds.:)

Country men, in my opinion, are the way to go! They know how to treat their women and aren't afraid to get down and dirty and work hard for their family!

Been from the south all my life,so I can't say what its like to date a city man.and city man or country man they are some good and bad you just have to keep your eyes open and chose the right one.but honestly I couldn't imagine not being w a country man.they are hard workers and tough.they are very handy with just about anything cars, house appliances, anything really.they know how to survive if the world got bad as far as cropping and hunting, making stuff for protection even if its made outta sticks haha they will find something,or whatever else.a lot of ppl would say country men aren't as book smart as city men.Not so true I know a lot of them that are very book smart tho they all have a lot of street smarts n common sense.they have this rough n toughness about em that makes you feel safe.and their confidence is really nice as well very attractive in any man. They are raised to be polite and to say yes sir no maam and thank u and to open a door for a woman and to know how to treat a woman n respect her.they are more down to earth and easier to get along with and easy to talk too.speaking of the hygeine like I said they are hard workers and I dated one w a farm n he had chicken houses too and the smell on him would knock ya down lol,but you get used to it after awhile.and they do have very good hygeine when not working they can look mighty sharp n their outfits n boots.most of them I've known are very mature yet know how to have fun.tho some I've met are men that are not as mature.they are all about family and tradition. Most of them are so dang good looking you have to admit with their side ways Copenhagen smiles, and tipping their hats aaah everything yep its obvious I like em alot...now I've seen city men and maybe some on tv on this show sweet home Alabama this girl has like 4 from south and 4 from the city and I watched some of the city men and it just seemed to me now not saying they are for sure but what I seen they are very mature and they also know how to treat a lady with class.they seemed to be very smooth talkers very slick.they also came off tho as somewhat arrogant or maybe full of themselves more than the country men.most of them were very sarcastic.seemed focused on more material like things and buying the woman's love and attention.well that's about all that's my opinion,I prolly pissed a few off but what can ya say....they got it going on down YONDER.
