I'm not sure if it's rain and it's freezing as it lands or if its sleet, but the Sheriff's Department has issued a statement asking people to stay off the roads. They have more accidents than they can currently handle.

Yep its super slick.First thing I did was bust my ass went I stepped out on the porch this morning.
Didnt see anything but there is a layer of ice coating everything and it is slick slick slick.
No traffic on my road and thats good.Cant be safe on the roadways now.Hoping it melts quickly

do they usually salt before the ice moves in or do they have to wait until the ice is on the road for the salt to work.

There are crs on y road (363) near Keavy, but moving very slowly. How is 75 and 25? ceared up yet? Scaner is finally quietig down some.

I live off of tom cat trail and i haven't seen a car go out my road. Must be bad because its usually like an interstate.

I looked outside and its nothing but thick ice. Stay home! I hope it clears up enough for me to go to work this evening.

Funny how this green presidents future is riding on whether the weather cooperates or not. All the coal fired powerplants shut dow puts great stress on the grid.

Let them blue states turn even more blue. lol

We still have a large number of coal fired plant even though many have switched to natural gas. I would not be too critical of the blue states, their tax money supports this country. Unlike Kentucky and most of the southern states that take more from the federal government than they pay in, the blue states pay more than they take.
